  1. GAMEDAY'S STUCK FOR ME, BUT I PEEKED JUST IN TIME TO SEE "IN-PLAY, RUN(S)". http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  2. C'mon, Rickie...is 2-for-3 really good enough for you today? Edit: I'll take 2-for-3 with a walk, preferably also with a run scored.
  3. I enjoy the brief "Essss-cobar" sound clip the Brewers have been playing after Alcides does something useful.
  4. INDEED. THIS IS THE CLOSEST I CAN GET AT WORK TO SPORTING A RALLY CAP.
  5. Well, he did leave Zach in for two innings vs. Minnesota. But yeah, today's use (as I follow it on Gameday, at least) is the kind that usually makes me say - preferably to the other team's manager - "you're going to regret that in the 12th."
  6. Was Zach really incapable of pitching a second inning? I don't want to hear/read "8th inning man" in the answer.
  7. We've only given up 3 today But that's all of them! (thus far) http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  8. Maybe the people who slow down for them assume there's an officer lurking around somewhere.
  9. And hey, in the meantime (between peeks at Gameday) the Brewers tie it up.
  10. Coming in late...do I want to know how a Gameday-described "popup to Escobar" resulted in two runs scoring? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif
  11. How many of you Star Wars guys frequent Williams-Sonoma?
  12. There's modest action in the chat room. So it's not just you.
  13. I've never quite got that nickname. I would think CarGo would be more fitting.I can't speak for everyone here, but I switched to GoGo during the season-opening Rockies series, since Colorado has a CarGo in Carlos Gonzalez. Edit: And he's a speedy dude.
  14. Yeah, it's Carlos Lee; but still. Better to get out of the inning there than (even) later.
  15. I salute you for being able to do that. I just can't cast an all-star vote for Diego.
  16. Huh? I don't know what you're talking about. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif
  17. Not to mention the first Brewers home win since Uecker announced his then-pending surgery and absence. I knew those were unlikely to be related, but still. I couldn't keep "It's the Astros" from the back of my mind, but I was quite happy to finally see a win again (first since April 18 and the first in MP since April 11). Despite the numerous visits between catcher and pitcher, I enjoyed seeing Jonathan Lucroy in action. I won't say I hope he emulates Gregg Zaun in every single aspect of the game, but I was delighted to hear his choice of walkup song: Rush's Tom Sawyer. On a different note, fans who have adopted the habit of turning in 10 all-star ballots for a ticket in the baseball memorabilia drawing will no doubt be appalled along with the S.O. and me, when we saw Tuesday night's "prizes": a Jeff Suppan-signed baseball, plus an Elmer Dessens jersey. What? I decided to take a night off of voting, upon learning that those were the items at stake.
  18. Behold the Sixth Place Series. This appears to be another of those "something has to give" situations - Milwaukee's dour home record vs. Houston's not-much-better road record - but that makes me think back two weeks to the last "something has to give" series with Atlanta, and we know how that went. I am hoping to see some J. Lucroy behind the plate tonight, and not just to catch the ceremonial first pitch(es). Come on, Brewers.
  19. Maybe '07 and '09? Or '06 and '09? McGehee wasn't around in 07-08, and neither was Davis as #49. I'm not trying to detract from the coolness of your collection/offer, just trying to figure it out for myself.
  20. What year(s) are the nameplates from?
  21. I have nothing particularly bad to say about Brian and Bill. My personal preference is to follow games by radio, and maybe that's why I prefer the Brewers' radio team, even as it stands during Bob's absence.
