Mass Haas I remembered Pacioreck a bit. Played LF for the no-no, and took a hit away from Murray in the 2nd inning. Never got the publicity that Yount's catch got.

TC: I just don't like this. If Wise gets pulled for the ninth, that means that tomorrow, the Brewers have only Spurling, Dessens, Shouse, and one of Turnbow/Codero rested. Villy's out for at least the next day or two. Wise is out for tomorrow, and we'd have to decide whether or not the other of Turnbow/Cordero should go on back-to-back days. I'm just a little nervous about that. It's not panicking, I'm just a little worried.

Sheets only went six last night. Spurling went 2, and Shouse 1. Capuano went only 3. Villanueva went 4, and now Wise will go 1, and then Turnbow or Cordero takes the 9th. That would mean we either pitch one of Turnbow or Cordero on back-to-back nights. Wise can't go back-to-back nights, nor can he go two innings. I'm not sure who they'd have available if Bush gets rocked tomorrow. Vargas also doesn't usually go more than six innings, either.

I'd have let Villy go through the 8th and 9th.

Push Villanueva through the eighth, let Wise close it out, and then hope that Dave Bush has a good outing. If not, the bullpen's gonna be a mess.

I'd say that a .270 average is probably more in line with what he needs to put up. Much could depend on his defense, too. One cannot have too many catchers in the system, IMO.

So why was he pulled for a PH (Gross) in the 6th after he'd already been to bat to lead it off?
