  1. A walk could work... Chad gets the RBI, then have Cirillo PH for Bush...
  2. Never mind a tie... let's get the lead!
  3. Sticking with Koskie? Dunno `bout that... Shame - Bush has put up a quality outing.
  4. Lovely win, Crew. LOVELY!!! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif
  5. Lit their closer up... now to close this one out... After getting some more runs, of course. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  6. The key is to get a couple of runs in an early inning against Zambrano. When that happens, he falls to pieces. See last year as a classic case.
  7. Hmmm... is the "Temporarily Inactive" keeping him ready for the future's game?
  8. These missed homers... could have been a 6-3 game.
  9. To be very honest, I think Tim Dillard's gonna be best of the guys out there. He's going to be the guy who mows down teams... quick, efficient, and all on a pitch count. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  10. Dan Kolb can't go more than one inning in a game. Great pitching, but no offense to back it up.
  11. Well, you can't spell Koskie without a couple of K's.
  12. It's a mess - this game needs to end, or the bullpen is gonna take a bath.
  13. Nope. No luck there. Tenth inning, hopefully.
  14. A lot of pitching is mental. Some pitchers do fine until a runner or two get on base, or a home run is hit, or an error happens, then things just go downhill from there. They may have all the "stuff" in the world, but they can't handle Others can suck it up and fight their way out of it. They might not have stuff, but they go after the hitters and often get out of the inning with little or no damage.
  15. At least he is not going to get the order of the baby seal today... which means the Brewers haev a chance.
  16. Villanueva's shutting them down so far. Impressive. If he keeps this up, he becomes a contender for the 2007 rotation. And to think that Tim Dillard is arguably the better pitcher between the two.
  17. Krynzel with a hit and a walk today. He's not doing bad. Gwynn's racking up a very high average, but Krynzel's flashing the glove and showing a fair bit of speed. Krynzel's got great D in CF, and his bat's looked solid this year. Gwynn's showing great on-base skills and speed, but not as much power as Krynzel. The Brewers ought to try to keep both around. After 2007, an outfield of Gwynn in left, Krynzel in center, and Corey Hart in right is very possible, I think. The Brewers could do far worse than have a guy who draws 21 walks in 137 ABs and who can steal a lot fo bases batting eighth.
  18. The only way the Twins ought to even be able to start discussing the acquisition of Bill Hall is to begin with an offer of Santana and Joe Mauer in exchange.
  19. It looks as if this draft will have a fair number of folks who "got away". I'm not thrilled about this draft as I was in past drafts. It just seems ho-hum between the ones likely to get away and the folks who were picked.
  20. And the Crew goes into tomorrow with a rested bullpen.
  21. Bush picked the right day to sparkle with a CG.
  22. Well, if he lasts until the 4th, and you're Jack Z, do you take Hughes? I'd say the answer is yes.
  23. Only if the team is in the bottom half of the first round. Otherwise, it's the second-rounder and a sandwich.
