Some pitchers (Santos) might warrant a mulligan. Definitely, this was a day to forget. Seriously, though, if Jose Cappellan is dominating, and Victor Santos keeps getting shelled, is anyone going to seriously suggest keeping Santos in the major league rotation while Cappellan waits in the bullpen or with the Nashville Sounds? I'd rather throw Capellan in as the #3 starter than Santos if that is the case. We have some positive developments. Jorge de la Rosa looks like a dominating reliever. I think Jeff Cirillo is doing remarkably well, and could force his way onto the 25-man roster as a utility player. David Krynzel is showing a lot of patience and an ability to draw walks. Rickie Weeks and JJ Hardy look like they'l bein the middle infield for a while, and Enrique Cruz looks like he'll justify the Rule V pick. It's looking pretty good, in my opinion. Still a ways to go, but there's a lot of promise.
