  1. i sure as heck hope you are right. I will be rooting hard and just hoping they get at least 2 this weekend
  2. i dont mean to be a downer, but this is totally setting the brewers up for about 5 total runs scored this weekend... but either way, awesome offense displayed by the brewers this week. 11, 8, 8 & 20 runs scored (11.75 avg.)
  3. maybe this thread should be locked until prince remembers how to rake again...
  4. i am looking to start broadening my reading horizons. i am looking for suggestions for good reads, with only one criteria: i am looking for a series with a minimum of 3 books thanks for any suggestions!
  5. had both episodes DVR'd last night. woke up this morning, and my u-verse box was whining. i did a normal restart, and BAM - all of my recorded shows are gone. good thing they are replaying last night's episodes this weekend...
  6. um, why are those the only 3 photos on the website. and they chose THAT picture for the home page? interesting...
  7. i completely disagree about wanting to play the celtics. they would have had no chance against boston/the referees. i am glad nobody cares about the atlanta/milwaukee series because the league wont have much of a rooting interest in one of the teams. and does atlanta really have that much size??? horford and zaza are no "bigger" than perkins, wallace and KG. atlanta is a streaky shooting team that dont really play that well as a team. a good defensive series by the bucks gives them a chance...
  8. for cousins bachelor party a few years ago, we rented a school bus from Lamers. they picked us up at my cousins house, drove us to the game, we tailgated and watched the game, and then the bus driver dropped us off downtown on water street. i highly recommend Lamers. So much so that for my bachelor party next month, we are planning on getting a school bus from lamers for the brewer game as well. (we have 23 people going) let me know if you have any questions!
  9. What day, time and channel? I don't see it on my TV's guide
  10. 1 for 5 would be breaking out of a slump for him... and i'd take it1
  11. if anything, blame it on that stupid banner they they put in left center field counting down to 600 saves. that thing needs to go!
  12. would a dog whistle stop the dog or attract it more???
  13. We had a 41 year old closer last year that throws an 85 mph fast ball last year too... so what? The problem is his fastball location right now, which a 42 year old first ballot hall of famer should be able to fix no problem. I guess to me a lucky HR from someone's knees and HRs to Pujols and Holiday dont warrent this kind of reaction. where's the threads about Yo sucking this year, or prince looking pretty mediocre so far?
  14. Same MPH on his fastball. Struggling a bit with his change , which doesn't concern me because that's his bread and butter pitch. Once he starts locating his pitches a little better he will be fine. I'm surprised people on this board would overreact after 1 week...
  15. i found this VERY funny. well done. maybe it's because i always seem to see patterns in a team's scoring and predict what the next innings will produce...
  16. hawing, that sharpie looks purple-ish to me... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  17. i will never drink a mixed drink again i will never eat a mushroom again i will never sniff red cayenne pepper again because my mom suggested i try it when i was 11 or 12 years old...
  18. Go Duke tonight!!!
  19. Cell phone, DVR, HD, laptop in that order
  20. if you are right patrick, i will be focusing on silver spring, muskego lakes, kettle hills or fire ridge
  21. Ok a few other things I didn't mention in my original post. - I plan on there being either 3 or 4 foursomes - price needs to be under $50 for 18 holes w/ cart - we aren't looking for longest drive kind of stuff, but some courses may offer a discount for something like a bachelor party (i think silver spring does) - We plan on the tee times being between 7:15 and 7:45. a 4 hour round gets us done by 11:45. - The course can't be too far away from my house (near mount mary college), because we will be REALLY pressed for time. - The reason we are pressed for time is because there is a 3pm brewer game that day (stupid national TV games http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif ), and we plan on getting a school bus and going to to miller park to tailgate before the game. i would prefer to get down to miller park by 12:45. this means we need to be back at my house and getting on the bus between 12:15 and 12:30. that all being said, ironwood, the broadlands and edgewood are probably too far. courses that seem to be close enough that are "good enough courses" for us to play are silver spring island course, dretska, brown deer, and maybe fire ridge ?
