Not to mention the fact he put up road numbers in 2008 that match his 2009 overall numbers. -
Agree, but the reality is Gamel just wasn't going to be the everyday starter at 3rd for whatever reason. A Lopez + McGehee / Counsell combination is better then Counsell + McGehee. I'm just excited about a someone who consistently gets on base batting in front of Braun and Fielder.
-
I like the move assuming Gamel is getting sent down since he isn't playing anyway. I've always liked Lopez and i think he'll be solid in the lead off spot. This will hopefully lead to a Lopez, Hardy, Braun, Fielder top 4 of the lineup for the rest of the season. This team still needs a healthy Bush and/or a trade for a solid reliever to have a legit shot at the playoffs. I like the move though.

Brewers To Sport Road Jersey saying "Milwaukee"?
Sheets4theHOF replied to Crew2323's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
Having just gotten an authentic Braun alternate jersey, i hope they don't alter the over design of the uniforms too much. But yeah, Milwaukee on the road grays has been long overdue. -
Exactly. The new trendy put down by cub fans is that half the brewers fans became fans very recently. While i'm sure its true there are some bandwagon jumpers, the brewers have had a loyal fanbase throughout the dark ages of the 90s. They just didn't go to ballpark as often as they do now. Unlike the crowds that filled that relic in chicago for years and years, milwaukee fans were smart enough not to subsidise bad baseball decisions.

Cardinals TV announcer calls Brewers disrespectful
Sheets4theHOF replied to apirk's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
Well here's hoping Rick Horton gets to have lots of perceived righteous indignation live and in person this year. -

Pittsburgh Pirates Appreciation Thread
Sheets4theHOF replied to splitterpfj's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
I know this has no affect on what actually happens on the field, but i dunno if karma likes winning then rubbing it in. Yes, baseball makes me irrational. -
I guess the question is does whoever comes up catch every Bush start still or only fill in day game after night games and such?
-
He rolled the dice twice (Yo for the 8th and Villy for the 9th) and it worked out great. Sound calculated risks--both of which i probably wouldn't have done. Macha's been solid so far.
-
Who's got the best?
-
Way to go CV! Sweep! Over .500! 7 of 8! Yo is good at baseball!
-
Pretty much the only relief pitcher who didn't pitch yesterday besides Julio and you're not gonna put him in to close out a game. A bit of a dice roll, but you get a day of rest for an overworked bullpen if it works out.
-
Villy officially in. I'm oddly not nervous about this inning.
-
Fastball right down the middle (according to gameday) with 2 strikes. What are you looking for Corey? Comon JJ break out here. ...darn hit it hard just at somebody.
-
Ok now i'm feeling better, but i'd feel super if Fielder scores.
-
Um Ueck just said Yo is gonna come out for the 9th? Did i hear that right? Macha don't ruin the best young pitcher the crew has!
-
116 pitches over 8 innings isn't too bad. If i'm Macha, i probably don't send him out for the 8th, but then again we probably still have a tie game as well. Only thing that concerns me is that this comes on the heels of a CG.
-
Old man coming off of an injury. If memory serves, the padres didn't let Hoffman pitch 3 days in a row.
-
Brad Nelson nods in agreement.
-
Is Hoffman available today? I'm guessing no.
-
Unreal Yo. You are amazing!
-
Yo. Bush had a few walks and hit and batter or two. He had a pretty high pitch count as well.
-
Haha i love the Gallardo clan. What a great outing. 3 in a row!
