  1. Comon Ginter, its time to make up for that E. EDIT: That a boy! Nice comeback!
  2. Man this team is a lot more fun to watch when they hit the ball. Comon Jenks hit a bomb and take this game over.
  3. Glad that wasn't durrington's AB. Comon let's come back here.
  4. Man Moeller can't hit, how in the world did he have a four hit game?
  5. There you go Cappy, one more now. EDIT: Nevermind, man I hate errors.
  6. Comon ginter. Even Helms makes that play.
  7. With both pitchers about once through the lineup this look like it could be a 1-0 affair.
  8. Its looking omnious with that curve ball he has working. Good AB's by pods and jenks but overbay and Ginter have to atleast make contact in those those situations.
  9. Cap struggled alittle in the beginning but hopefully he settles in. Jenkins, even when he's not hitting the ball he always excellent defense with a very good arm.
  10. A lot of ppl hate on Obermueller but I think he should get a shot in the rotation every 5th day for the rest of the year. He's a young guy who can get groundballs (which is a plus in miller park), field his position well and help himself with the bat. Sure when his control is off he gets rocked but I think pitching consistently will do him wonders. Who else is in on the Obie Fan Club?
  11. and the brewer offense reaches a new low. 2nd 3rd no one out, pathetic.
  12. opening segment on baseball tonight, good old milton bradley.
  13. Anybody remember the opening day baseball give away? We're in no position to call fans classless.
  14. bullox took the words right off my fingers.
  15. Baseball tonight is on espn 2 and they are giving updates on the brewers game as they happen. Grabowki hit a tough pitch to score the tying run. Well its time for bonus baseball. On a side note baseball tonight just gave about 2 minutes of love to the brewers saying they think this isn't a fluke and they will continue playing respectablely.
  16. New ball game, is it fair to say the defense of overbay is a liablity?
  17. With the first padre hit I noticed good old Davey Lopes over at first base coaching. Good to see he's still collecting a pay check.
  18. Clark 0-2 2K and put the last one backwards on your scoresheet. I can't believe this guy is batting leadoff.
  19. Field level and bleachers look pretty full. Dunno about loge or terrance.
  20. Good old clark swings at ball four for strike three. yeah, he should be leading off.
  21. Not the prettiest thing but i'll take it. So much for this team being gritty and hitting alot of doubles. 5 runs thanks to the long ball. If Luis and Danny keep it up we might have only 7 innings to worry about. Some encouraging things, but i'm worried about Sheets. He's gotta get the curve ball down. Tomorrow's game should be interesting. Doug Davis can hopefully stay solid. It should be interesting to see how this lefty dominated lineup does against a south paw. I doubt Clark will start with the day Grieve had, but maybe billy hall will get some play over counsel.
  22. Very well said. The most ideal situation for the crew to be in is this. Melvin builds on the core of Jenkins, Sexson, Sheets with low priced players who play hard and a few bargin veteren free agents. Get that team to be competative and when the Huntsville boys are ready, replace those low priced guys/FA with the talent from the minors. If the brewers' front office simply has the attitude of, "well there is no way we have the talent to win this year and most likely not next year either. Might as well trade what little major league talent we have for young unproven talent and win in 2-4 years." That will put way too much pressure on young guys who will be adjusting to life in the majors. They will need vets like Jenks and Sexson who put put big numbers and can show the young guys the way. Yes this is the most ideal situation, but I believe it is more affective then simply putting all your eggs in the AA basket.
