  1. My son is turning 8 soon and we are planning a space themed party. The intent was to buy astronaut food online for grab bags and prizes, but we just never got around to checking out. It's probably too late to rely on shipping (unless I want to be gouged by next day prices) and I would like to get it locally. Unfortunately, I'm not sure who is stocking it in this area. I've tried American Science and Surplus without success. Any ideas?
  2. If you are looking to do intros... maybe a karaoke machine?!? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif This is the cheapest one I could find. Karaoke and walmart, I really must have done something rotten in a past life.
  3. I have a Mr. Microphone... The wireless one that you tune the radio frequency to. It's not very good...
  4. Good Idea. I had thought about doing it last year with my MP3 player and battery powered speakers, but never got around to it. I have an old CD boombox that takes like 8 D batteries. I'll see if it's still working and try to bring it tomorrow. (I have no idea how it will handle a CDR.) If we do this... Song: Loser Artist: Beck Do you need me to email an mp3 of the song?
  5. I'll get there as early as I can tonight, but that probably won't be until about 7:30.
  6. I'm the agreeable sort that will play where you put me, but I was not really comfortable in the few innings I played at catcher last year. Given our depth, I can understand not being at first, but I would much rather be in the outfield.
  7. I was supposed to be there, but my son's soccer game was rescheduled to 12:45. The other team would have had to forfeit if we did not agree to a time shift and as the team's coach, I sacrificed softball so they could all have their game.
  8. The reason he was asking about moving the time is that for the last few practices other groups are already using the field by 11 and have left at 12. They may not happen this week, but we should be prepared to spend at least the first hour playing on grass.
  9. From what I have been told.... The shirts are the same design, but the new teammates needed to be added. I requested a name change (since I stopped doing the Woah Solvdd audio show) it was odd having that on my back. So I'm ordering a new shirt.
  10. Thanks Colby, The jersey design is still great. If it is not too much trouble, could just have my name as Zac. (Does not really need to be in all caps)
  11. Same place... new date and time. As discussed in the cancellation thread. We are having a voluntary practice today at 3. If you are planning to attend please post here so that we can predetermine involvement.
  12. 3 would be fine. I'll try to bring a radio so we can hear the game.
  13. What time are we talking for Sunday? I can most likely make it, but a specific time would help. Should we start a separate thread?
  14. Yeah, I heard the guys on 620 complaining that they had to do the Green House until 6 instead of 5:30. Baseball will start broadcasting at 6 and then have the "pregame" in between. How will umpiring work for this game? Will they keep the crew in the same spots as last night and then switch for the second game or just stay in the same spots all night?
  15. It's snowing and it looks like at most 3 people could be there. At this point, I think we should just cancel.
  16. The first inning was an indication that the Cubs can hit Bush when he is throwing BP. They do have some decent sticks, but they pretty much disappeared when Bush righted himself. Of course, I am viewing the world through Brewer colored goggles.
  17. I can make it, but will we have enough people to do more than play catch?
  18. I'm in for Sunday. According to the forecasts I've looked at, it's supposed clear up around 9. Are we still planning on starting at 11?
  19. I'm going to miss the 31st as I will be up at UW-Stout launching gliders from balloons.
  20. So what were the results of the 60 yard dash? I wanted to come tonight and show off the skills gained by my off-season Wii Sports practice routine, but I had to play build the Pinewood derby car with my son.
  21. How could the team survive without my grounders to short and bench warming prowess! Count me in!
  22. For those still hunting... Amazon.com is having a Customer Appreciation raffle that includes a Wii.
  23. Anyone else interested in a Brewerfan.net friend code exchange? Name: Zac Code: 2012 0994 4733 6509 To successfully share a Mii you need to enable travel and set a Mii to Mingle. Both people also need to add the code and name. For those concerned about my Mii ruining Wii Sports, my Mii hits better than I do in softball.
  24. Got one! I went to the Target in New Berlin around 1:30 this morning and was number 48 of the 57 they had in stock. The Wiimote really is slick. It would be nice to see the Internet, news, and weather channel features, but supposedly those will come later. Wii Sports is really nothing more than a tech demo, but I did win my first baseball game. Maybe I should swing one handed in softball too. I have not played Zelda yet. If you guys have any hands-on questions about the system, I check this thread as much as I can and try to answer them.
