  1. How can you have no sympathy for a kid being made fun of because of his/her disability. I hope you're joking, because I feel sorry for anyone that would let allegiance to a baseball team cloud their morality/sense of justice to this extreme.
  2. Funny, Gobias, that game was my last straw as well. On a bit of a side note, after CC's MP debut, someone stole my bud's grill from under his car in the parking lot. I mean, what the hell? There's an unwritten law regarding those things, besides the written law against STEALING! I feel bad for saying it, but at least when we stink again I can go to a game in peace.
  3. As the Brewers become more successful, you have more casual fans coming out, who will pay less attention to the game, drink WAY more, and ignore, or are ignorant of game etiquette. The situation described by bball is an absolute embarrassment, however, and even the casual/drunken/idiot fan should be above that behavior. This is a situation where MP security or the sheriffs should have stepped in. No one deserves to take that sort of abuse, but especially a KID, and one who has something wrong with them that may be causing their "unusual behavior" or whatever was offensive to our fans. I think the security presence is often lacking with big crowds, particularly in the upper deck. Don't put the onus on the fan to track down security. A side note: I love the Crew, and I usually get to about thirty a year, but I avoid Cub games like the plague. If I had a package, I would get rid of the Cubs tix, because I've found that situations like the one described are not the exception for these series. Not wanting to subject myself to donkeys does not make me or anyone else a bad fan.
  4. One of four on the homestand so far. Way to give back that momentum Crew!
  5. I am pretty sure that during this series I will use up at least one of my three strikes.
  6. Marmol will magically gain his composure in the ninth, I'm sure. Ugh what crappy games the last two days. We suck
  7. Was that a tough play at all? Radio here.
  8. Count me in for Earl Weaver or Davey Johnson. Heck, I'll take any living former O's manager over Nedly. Wait...did I just say this? May need to be moved to drunk thread.
  9. What a throwaway day. I hope this isn't an indication of how we play in first place. Losing two of three at home to the last place 'stros. Wow. At least we faced we didn't lose to Wandy Rodriguez and Randy Wolf. Oh wait. Are these the '04 Brewers?
  10. Now McClung is in?!? I want to feed Ned to a bear, only I don't believe in cruelty to animals.
  11. Maybe Ned wants to pitch Soup til his arm falls off so that he can't hurt us in the future, and we can justify adding another arm.
  12. The only bad thing about the Brewers' success is that Ned the donkey will more likely be back. I can't take that guy. Why is there no VORM? Ned's VORM has to be incredibly low.
  13. I don't get it, why didn't Cooper leave Wolf in long enough to piss the game away? Doesn't he know how to manage? If only he had gotten Bobby Cox doughnuts.
  14. Just wanna clear up that I wasn't trying to be condescending to Pat or anyone else with my post. I have bad sight, but I was like "It's there, isn't anyone else seeing this."
  15. The ball CLEARLY changes direction/trajectory near the guy where crewcrazy has it circled. Watch it on milwaukeebrewers.com. Nice size for the feed. No one can say that ball hit in the first row. It changes direction right by the guy, hence his reaction.
  16. I think the ball hit about 9 rows back. You'll notice a guy in red standing up and covering himself, cuz he doesn't seem to know where the ball is. I think it bounced behind him and ricocheted down. Either that or it emerged from his shorts pocket. I leave it to you, BF.net to decide which is the more impressive feat. You can definitely see the ball change trajectory around the guy standing. I feel like I'm watching the Zapruder film. "Back, and to the left."
  17. Not cocky enough. He should have worked a mooning into there somewhere a la Randy Moss.
  18. I think I've developed a man-crush on rluzinski. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif In all seriousness, I wonder why a lot of posters are quick to jump on the stat guys, but more accepting of a post that says, "maybe this move will light a fire under such and such player." (Not meant to single anyone out) The assumption there is that the player will all of a sudden try harder, or that the pressure will make the player more productive, when typically a pressure/stress situation does the opposite. When I look at Rick, I'm not sure why he hasn't been able to maintain a high avg/obp at the big league level, but I doubt that it has anything to do with him not wanting it enough or not feeling an impetus to put up better numbers. In fact, I would say it was the opposite. Just wanna say again that I love the stats, since I don't know much about them. I feel like they broaden my understanding of the game. When I first started on BF.net, I wasn't even sure what OPS or WHIP were. So I think I speak for many when I say thanks to Russ and all the great BF statheads!
  19. I agree that it's a bit underwhelming, and that Durham is exceeding his norms, but our lead-off man is getting on at a .322 clip. Not good! Braun was 3-5 the other day with no RBI. With the pop we have in the middle of the order, we need to get more guys on base.
  20. Yeah, I understand. I mean just pulling in Street would be too good. (without giving up one of our "untouchable" players.
