There's a guy that works in my general group. I know of him, but don't really "know" him. Saw him in a Packers jersey a few weeks back, and didn't think much of it. Lots of Packers fans. Then this week I saw him wearing a Brewers hat, and I finally IM'd him "So, where'd you grow up in Wisconsin? I could see anyone being a Packer fan, but no one who grew up outside of WI would willingly choose to subject themselves to the pain, angst, and teasing that this franchise constantly inflicts on their fans?"
And, yeah. Sheboygan.
I just wanted to win 1 freaking series. Just 1. Just show something in the playoffs. Especially after last year. Just win one blasted series. The regular season means nothing when 12 teams make the playoffs. No Cub fan will look back on this season with disappointment "Oh damn it, we didn't win the NL Central. Wasted season!" They will be bummed if they lose the NLCS but they will have something to look at positively with 2 series wins at least.
I'm so sick of this.
