  1. If this has been posted and I missed it, I apologize, but... goodness this hit me so hard. First, Ted looks amazing. I don't know what I expected him to look like these days, but he has aged exceedingly well. Hearing from all the guys from 82 was amazing, and you could tell how much they felt it, but for anyone that ever thinks these guys are in it simply for the money and don't care as much as fans (and yeah, more today and some don't) you can tell how much that loss weighed on him and how much this removed a weight from him.
  2. I'm the exact opposite. I'm freed knowing I have experienced the one thing in sports fandom I have wanted above all else. Nothing will ever top this. The part of me that enjoyed everything about sports but felt incomplete because I've never gotten to the top of the mountain is gone. Was I (and am I still) disgusted by the Packers loss in the playoffs last year. You betcha. But I didn't have those gnawing thoughts of "I'm never gonna see this am I? They are always going to break my heart, aren't they? Do they have a Super Lab where they manufacture new and convoluted ways to crush my soul specifically?" And maybe it's nuts, but literally until the ground out to end game 5, those thoughts remained lodged in the darkest places of my psyche. But after, like a fog has lifted. Doesn't mean I won't be as passionate about any of it. Doesn't mean I won't want to see more titles and be bitterly disappointed if they don't. Doesn't mean I won't assume the worst mid game and be over the top dumb as my coping mechanism. But that existential dread I will never experience the best there ever will be? Gone And it's the [expletive deleted] best.
  3. There are so many moments obviously, but I keep going back to the weekend series in LA the middle of August. They just got swept by the Padres ending with a brutal walk off. The lead in the Central is down to 3. 7 games remaining vs the Cubs looming and the entire baseball world talking about PCA. Now they have to go into LA for 4 against the evil empire. I went from assuming the Cubs would pull away from us in September to now wondering if this will end up 2014, but worse. They enter the top of the ninth in the LA series opener down 4-2 and facing Edwin Diaz. And they put up 3 in the 9th to win it. And then take 3/4 and leave LA with a 5 game lead on the Cubs. After that disastrous sweep at the hands of the Padres, they went 29-12 the rest of the way.
  4. Y'all realize that BUNTY (I will never not love that) was 2nd on this team in OPS through the Post Season?
  5. If you haven't read this, you really really need to. https://www.jsonline.com/story/sports/mlb/brewers/2026/10/29/inside-the-night-brewers-captain-christian-yelich-won-world-series/92476152007/?gnt-cfr=1&gca-cat=p&gca-uir=true&gca-epti=z11xx01p119850l11xx50c119850e1134xxv11xx01d--82--b--82--&gca-ft=179&gca-ds=sophi
  6. Rewatching and I’ll tell ya what. I don’t ever want to see Chandler Simpson ever again.
  7. I blacked out for a moment. Have not have a drop of alcohol. Need to rectify that 2nd part.
  8. I just don’t understand how you handle the staff for 11 innings like it’s game 7 and then decide in the 12th to punt.
  9. You may not be 3 outs from winning the WS again. Not saying it goes down like that but it’s possible. It continues to be baffling that you go to Drohan in the scenario instead of Miz.
  10. Then we’re going back to Milwaukee and praying Henderson doesn’t crap the bed.
  11. It’s not like you’re gonna start Miz in 5 and 7. You got one start left with him tops. If you really couldn’t throw him tomorrow after an inning tonight then he goes in 6. It’s just insane you didn’t trot him out to close it out.
  12. If Miz is going tomorrow you absolutely need at least 7 from him. Just the most disastrous way to lose this game. But Murphy saved the staff for the next road trip.
  13. Please don’t give me that Bears playoff game and blowing a 3-0 lead in the WS in the same calendar year.
  14. One inning? Nope. You go for the kill shot when you have it. You don’t punt a WS clinching game
  15. Pretty sure most people meant you start the inning with Miz.
