One preferred pass available for Opening Day
bluemoundlotallstar replied to miggs721's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
PM sent. -
anyone with a package not going to be using their extra Opening Day tickets opportunity? Money is a little tight this year, I'd love to be there without having to purchase a package or pay scalper prices. Have my fingers crossed that I hit the Opening Day lottery, but I doubt there will be too many tickets available. Please PM me, I'd really appreciate it.

Jeff Wagner is discussing this topic on am620 right now.

Any interest in a Mat Gamel private signing?
bluemoundlotallstar replied to billyhallfan's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
i'm in for a ball and an 8x10. i know a couple other people who are not BF members that would probably like an 8x10 or a ball as well. -
BBC does not have a bus anymore or hasn't at all this year.

Looks like tickets for Tuesday are still available through the giants website. I just typed in two best available and it gave me club level seats on the first base side in shallow right field. If you are looking to go to the game, i would recommend trying this out instead of dealing with scalpers. Unless you can find RayRay's San Fran associates and get tickets for below face.

Receiving Single Game Tickets
bluemoundlotallstar replied to bthurley19's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
Mine came some time between Thursday and Saturday. I live on the Eastside of Milwaukee. Actually, those were single game tickets that i got throuh the marquee presale thing on the 26th. Still waiting on my 20-pack tickets though. -
Man, I hate to steal bfishman's thunder but I will also get in line for those Cubs tickets for the first Sunday series or in May. I have the same two games in Cubs series at the end of September Section 423, row 8 basically directly in front of you, two seats in the first row of Terrace Reserved behind homeplate. I would also trade your Friday Braves or Sunday D'Backs for any of these: Tue April 14 7:05 CIN Thu April 30 7:05 AZ Tue May 12 7:05 FLA Wed May 13 7:05 FLA Tue May 26 TBD STL Wed June 10 7:05 COL Wed July 8 7:05 STL Mon July 27 7:05 WSH Wed August 12 7:05 SDG Tue August 25 7:05 CIN Wed August 26 7:05 CIN Tue September 8 7:05 STL Mon September 21 7:05 CHI Tue September 22 7:05 CHI might have to trade most of my Wednesday games because of a conflicting softball schedule **Also have three tickets to the Sunday game against the WhiteSox in 237 LF loge Bleachers that I would like to trade seats in the bleachers for either of those other two Sox games.

You are totally right. The Brewers should do away with offering extra tickets for Opening Day because of a mistake you won't own up to. Its 1 game out of 81. If you can't be happy with the seats they gave you then send them back as suggested and I will be happy to take them as I know TONS of fans that wouldn't [expletive deleted] about any seat they could get for face value. I was late on ordering my 20 pack so I was not able to order extra seats. I'm still not going to cry about it or ask why the general public gets access to these seats before I get my chance at 'extras'. Not to mention the fact that the Season Ticket Holders are the ones who are buying these extras in addition to their seats and driving up the ticket prices and the reason you'll have to pay a 'huge' premium. If you aren't going to be happy with your seats then trade them to someone straight up for SRO and a Metavante Club pass and get a table early. (edit: language --1992)

Opening Day Ticket Lottery
bluemoundlotallstar replied to BadgerFan's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
I got my hands on two GREAT pavillion Jimmy Buffett tickets at Alpine this morning and now I'm hoping that I can swap these for similar value Opening Day tickets. Brokers would have a field day with $150+ face value tickets to a show that sold out in less than 10 minutes. Hopefully I can still get a shot at Opening Day tickets through the lottery and sell these at face to a diehard that would enjoy the show, if I can't find a decent trade. -
Opening Day Ticket Lottery
bluemoundlotallstar replied to BadgerFan's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
I never win these either but I suppose that is because I only enter once and not multiple times. -
After the game last night I went to Mo's and a few other places down town. While the establishments were more upscale, I did not hear one negative comment directed towards myself or the other Brewer fans with us. While I know the scene is quite different at the stadium, it goes to show that most Cubs fans are actually human and not looking to knock your teeth out or punch your sister or waste $15 dumping beer from the next tier up. The lesson I learned in Wrigley and have carried over to these games is to simply ignore the idiots. They don't seem to think they are so funny when they don't get a reaction. If they are out of hand, don't even say a thing to them, tell someone who has the ability to have them removed.

I think I would rather see Yo in the Rally Monkey roll than October KRod 2002. -

I understand this to some degree, but you are in a position, in which you are an intermediary between the organization and the fans. Of course fans are going to ask some questions that are redundant and annoying, but this is part of the job. I get a bunch of idiots that call up my office and say stupid stuff or begin a conversation with, "I'm not sure if I got the right person but.....", and I don't tell them they are idiots or crack on them. I maintain a professional demeanor because I realize I am representing something larger than just myself. I think if you are going to accept all of the benefits of following this team and having all of your expenses picked up along the way, the least you can do it suck it up once a week while commenting on someone's comments or questions. I don't think Wiltrado would carry himself this way in front of fans, so I don't think this guy should get away with it just because he gets to type out his thoughts instead of responde to people face to face. -

What do you think of this guy? Personally, I really like the work Haudricourt puts in and he seems to be not only more insightful and "connected" to the organization, but less of a jerk. I do not actually submit questions to the mailbag, but I do read this section from time to time and some of Witrado's responses are just down right mean and don't bother to answer the question that was asked, regardless of how good the question is. I do not know how he can get away taking shots at the readers and anyone who criticizes him. Most recently when someone asked him what kind of qualifications are needed for the job or something similar, he responded with a comment about the reader mounting a horse using a ladder (referencing Napoleon I would assume). Guys like Eugene Kane I can see making comments to readers like this, because people often attack him and call him out directly, but Witrado isn't doing editorial columns that are supposed to be controversial. From my understanding, his job is to enlighten the readers and give them some more information on the Brewers, not make jokes about how little they know about baseball or the Brewers. I think it was also Witrado who posted the any rant on the blog about how people needed to stop calling out Prince for not eating meat. Obviously, the people he was writting this too were in the same boat and knew it was a tired comment and stupid, but were using it sarcastically. How can a guy with zero personality, who doesn't really contribute anything groundbreaking to the blog still have a job?? For the record, I do have thick skin and I am rather sarcastic and have a sense of humor. I do not know Witrado personally and he has never insulted me directly, but reading the mailbag just really disappointed me considering there are thousands of people on this site alone who would kill to have his job and be paid to watch the Brewers and cover them day in and day out. I considered contacting JS directly, but I thought I would get some other fans' takes first.
