  1. the line has moved from Packers -1 to Raiders -2.5 That's a big shift toward LV
  2. Purdy is crazy accurate. It seems like every ball was right on the numbers.
  3. I don't think it was DPI. It should have been if the receiver had tried to sell it a little bit.
  4. I lied. I guess I used the thumbs down once:
  5. First of all - I should not have called him out like I did. @BlightyBrew I am sorry about that. As a mod, I should take the high road. I should have just asked you what exactly you disagreed with and asked you to expand on it. Secondly, I moved these posts to the issues forum because that is where they belong. No one going into a thread on Craig Counsell's future should have to wade through a bunch of posts about the thumbs-up/down feature. Yes, I contributed to sending things off the rails over there and I knew there'd be some blowback to moving them here but that's ok. I didn't delete anything, I told everyone in the old thread where to find the new thread. The people who were interested could easily make their way here (like you did). As I mentioned, there are no rules related to the thumbs up/down thing. I don't personally use thumbs down because I think it leaves more questions than answers for the person who receives it. Say someone makes a post with several points and another poster gives them a thumbs down. So do you disagree with everything? One thing? Two things? These are my non-mod two-cent opinions on it.
  6. NFC playoffs should be fun. Philly Detroit and SF makes for some great matchups.
  7. And they could be even better. They traded a kings ransom to draft Trey Lance.
  8. is it just me or does the UW center kind of stink at snapping the ball?
  9. Because this thread is about Craig Counsell and not about the thumbs up/down feature.
  10. The "thumbs" related posts were moved to the Issues Forum. Nothing was deleted. https://brewerfanatic.com/forums/forum/12-brewer-fanatic-issues-suggestions/
  11. No you don't have to do anything. There are no rules about thumbs. I'm explaining why I called out that particular poster who has been negative about everything since the beginning of the season (and probably before) and who has been reported to mods by other posters a number of times.
  12. If you want to gimme a thumbs down go ahead. But maybe expand on why you disagree instead of just clicking a button.
  13. A badge of honor
  14. He's the best manager in the game. Obviously, he is not infallible. The Winker decision was a real head-scratcher for example. The Brewers have had a better record than their Pythagorean every year he's been manager. Put another way, you could argue that the Brewers outperform their talent level every year. He consistently does the little things to win at the margins.
  15. Bears gonna blow this one too?
  16. I kind of hope they leave Chourio in AAA to start the year but at some point he's getting called up which means a log jam in the outfield. I think they will trade some minor leaguers and/or young guys to bolster the roster. Some combination of Quero, Black, Wiemer, Mitchell/Frelick etc. could net some talent. Gasser can probably fill a pitching slot. If they trade Burnes they'll net some more talent. I think it should be an interesting off-season.
  17. Grass is always greener. Brewers have had one losing season from 2017 through this year and that was the weird Covid year. They've made the post-season 5 times in that time span. There are only a handful of other teams that have been as successful as that. The teams have won in different ways too - this year was pitching and defense, 2018 was offense and bullpen. They've taken players off the scrap heap and turned them into productive major leaguers. How much of all that is coaching and how much is front office is up for debate but we have a good thing going even if the post-season success hasn't been there.
  18. Bucks in six

  20. That's my guess. I also found out there is no bus that goes directly to the park anymore (pretty sure they used to exist). Minimum 1/2 mile walk from National Ave or Wisconsin Ave
  21. The worst part is that if she was making it up, it makes it that much harder to convict a Danny Masterson or a Kellen Winslow or a Darren Sharper.
