  1. I think Durrington is up for middle infield depth. Branyan doesn't solve that. Cirillo could play 2B, or SS in an extreme pinch. Russell, I think it's safe to assume, cannot play anything but 3B, 1B or possibly LF or RF. And no clancy, Russell can't catch. Because Durrington can play 3B, SS and 2B, he is now Billy Hall (albeit a more Australianized version of him), while Billy Hall is now Jeff Cirillo. When Branyan comes back, he immediately becomes simply Russell Branyan, with less playing time than before. Durrington has to stay, for better or worse, until either Cirillo comes back or another middle infielder is produced.
  2. I say create a special "polls" thread, stick it down by the "Whoah solvdd" thread, and tell beople to put their stupid polls in there. If someone creates a poll in a different thread, simply move it. Lemurs can stay, though.
  3. Well, it appears that not only can Corey Hart play 3B, but SS and 2B as well. Clancy has to be the happiest man on earth right now. Corey Hart will be playing in the infield for Nashville.
  4. I'll admit that when Scoop called Hall a poor man's Soriano, I argued vehimently. I thought with his poor plate discipline and shoddy defense, he would never be more than an average-at-best reserve with a little pop. I have never been happier to be proven completely and utterly wrong. Scoop has had many, MANY horribly bad predictions, and his innate inability to swallow his pride and admit he was wrong is frusterating. But I will give him props on Hall. He called it, and Billy is proving him absolutely correct. (Of course, Scoop had to get it right because he used to play baseball? Right?)
  5. I have no idea what this is referring to, but it sure as heck is egotistical.
  6. DuluthBrew's credibility just got knocked out with today's game, I think.
  7. Cub fan and Brewer fan? BOOO! On a vehimently Pro-Brewer board? Double BOOOOO! Someone liking Aramis Ramirez? Triple BOOOOOOOOO! Being from Minnesota, having "Brew" in your name, and cheering the Cubs? Quadruple B........well, you get the idea. BOO cub fans that are also Brewer fans. I've expressed this before......that shouldn't be allowed.
  8. I believe that Bill Hall is entering mancrush proportions. Who was it that said that Hall was a poor man's Alfonso Soriano? I'm really beginning to agree. He's been out of his mind both offensively and defensively this year, and has played himself into the long-term picture for this team, whether it be at 3B, SS, 2B or in the OF. He no longer is a utility guy. Hall needs to be on the field, at a set position, everyday. I say that position is 3B. Boy, that Carlos Lee guy ain't half bad, either.
  9. Not if you're a Brewer fan http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif I hate Derrick Lee
  10. Your fantasy team must not be very good. I hope you are supplementing the below average offense you are getting from O, Weeks and Jenks at their positions with good players like Manny Ramirez and Derrick Lee. Personally, against Zambrano, I'd start Hall and that's it. Jenks should weld himself to the bench.
  11. Except that we have this 23-year-old kid at AAA batting .307 with speed and power. Plus, unlike Enrique, he can field his position without an error every other game. If Enrique makes it back to the show as a Brewer, it's as a 3B or as a utility guy. Rickie is entrenched at 2B, and Hardy and Hall have SS nailed down.
  12. You had to do something. Ever thread he posted in ended up as a long, drawn out argument with no point. I am all for voicing opinions on this board, but when a poster has an innate inability to view issues with an open mind, it usually leads to problems.
  13. How is that not insulting? You need to go to ethics class.
  14. The last time you played a meaningful baseball game was in high school. The last time I played a meaningful baseball game was in high school. You spent 4 years holding Brady Endl's jock. Doesn't count. We're on equal footing.
  15. Does this make you better than everyone here? Answer that question.
  16. xis... AMEN brother...couldn't have said it better myself. Tomorrow is a new day. If there is one positive to this losing streak, the newbie "sky is falling" posters seem to be quickly disappearing.
  17. If Obie starts, hopefully he can carry over his spring training and limited relief opportunity effectiveness. I would have Matt Wise on stand-by, though.
  18. The pickle is the new cheese sandwich http://www.bobborden.com/diary/pickle.jpg
  19. boo on all of you rooting for a no-hitter.
  20. A no-hitter against this line-up should come complete with an astrick.
  21. Root for a no-hitter against the Brewers? I won't go that far. This is embarrassing
  22. Who else is going to pinch hit there? Cirillo isn't hitting any better than Hardy. Branyan? Jenkins? Moeller? no way
  23. Well, at least Cappy has a quality start. He was effectively wild tonight. It's too bad that it won't matter
  24. no hits in 11 innings against Jason Marquis and Odalis Perez. Hardly Johnson ans Schilling here, guys. Something needs do be done.
