If I start getting Khalid Ballouli-related spam, I know who I'm coming after...http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/roll.gif

I was bored one day, so I did a google search on Rueben Quevedo, and eventually I ended up here. I've pretty sure it's the only positive thing Ruby Q has ever done in his life.

That really does seem to be the Brewers' M.O. as of late. Melvin is really stockpiling wild power arms with problems this offseason. I know that he told his scouts to go out and find him the next Danny Kolb, but I didn't think they were going to try and replace Danny with 32 other guys. I guess it's a good situation to be in, though. They can throw them all during Spring Training and see who sticks. Hopefully the Brewers will be playing alot of split squad and "B" games this spring.

This can't be true. It makes absolutely no sense. Ford wasn't on the 40-man, so why get rid of him. I wonder if it is actually Ben Ford, which wouldn't surprise me in the least?

Wow....I'm pretty sure my cat could have written a better story than that. I sure hope they aren't passing that off as journalism. What do we know about this Paronto guy? sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?statsId=6703 Well, according to this, he throws pretty decent gas, but stangly struggles against righties. Big dude (6'5", 250) too. Sory of reminds me of Kolb. Could we have another nugget?

It's a domino-theory. Eventually, you'll end up at Trent Durrington.

I remember years where Orie would have been our major IMPACT signing. As it is, I know he signed a AAA deal, but is there any chance he sticks as a utility guy? I'm pretty sure he can play second, first and the corner outfield positions. Could he be an older, poor-man's Ginter?

shhhhhhhhhh.... You're gonna jinx Helms... He's gonna break out of his slump today by going 1-4 with a BB Brewer fever....CATCH IT!!!

Yeah, short lefties suck... http://www.baseballhalloffame.org/hofers_and_honorees/hofer_bios/images/spahn_warren_3.jpg Good job Mets!

Hey... 2 more hits, and he officially passes Gary Bennett!!! Go Doug!
  13. Ralph Wiggum
Would some one like to explain why Bennett plays again? Nice throw Chad Moeller!

there's taht sinking feeling I get every year in my stomach when Jenkins is grimacing and shaking something...hope he's allright, because we are this close to having a starting outfield of Macgruder/Pods/Clark

If by ugly you mean really, really good and an absolute Brewer killer, then yeah, he's the ugliest.
  20. Ralph Wiggum
Yes, especially since they havea viable back-up now in Branyan...a guy who can actually hit lefties from the left side.
  21. Ralph Wiggum
Hey, shhhhhhhhh!!! Wes got a hit. Don't jinx him. I don't want to see another 2 for 53.
  22. Ralph Wiggum
Ummm....I don't know if I'm following ya here...what does this mean? Are Daron and Bill spouting off again? I wouldn't know...I thurned them off and turned on Bob and JIm a long time ago.
  23. Ralph Wiggum
at least Doug Davis is looking like Doug Davis circa May and not July Doug.
  24. Ralph Wiggum
I'm sure they put Helms in at cleanup just so they can replace him with Branyan when a righty comes in in the 5th or 6th....hopefully

Quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ...but his bat is a question because he doesn't handle offspeed stuff well or recognize breaking balls. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So basically he's a younger Brady Clark.. great
