  1. Scoop, with all do respect, there is absolutely nobody keeping you here.
  2. I doubt a less formidable threesome has ever been penned. Watch them put up 5 runs now
  3. No kidding. I remember a argument on this site a few months back advocating signing Ordóñez to a contract to play CF, arguing that he was in perfect health and that he'd be a steal. Hindsight is 20-20, but wow...that's a horrible contract for the Tigers now.
  4. I'm sure the church of 3TO is on the edge of its collective seat, much like the Catholic church at this point.
  5. Odalis Perez owns a lot of Brewer hitters. If Carlos Lee doesn't get in gear, I think it's going to be a long night. Is it possible that Cirillo starts at 3B, with Helms starting at 1B? I hate Helms, but with how Perez has dominated Brewer lefties over his career, I don't want to see Jenks, Branyan and Overbay in the lineup. We could see an all-righty lineup out there tonight (sans Capuano): 1. Clark - CF 2. Spivey - 2B 3. Cirillo - 3B 4. Lee - LF 5. Miller - C 6. Helms - 1B 7. Magruder - RF 8. Hardy - SS 9. Capuano - P If that line-up doesn't strike fear into the hearts of opposing teams, I don't know what does. edit: lol @ RyDogg...we had the same idea. The all-righty line-up. I don't see Miller hitting clean-up, though.
  6. Thanks Brian. I know there have been times I've stirred the pot, so to speak, but I at least try to add meaningful conversation to the forum. I'm sure that most fans here are very frusterated, but to turn on the team after 10 games in the middle of April is immature. Part of why I love this site is the ability to criticize without the threat or trolls/banning. But it can be taken too far. Anyway....time to pitch a gem tomorrow, Cappy!
  7. My bad...that's what I meant. I'm getting my Perezes mixed up. Both are junkballing lefties who pitched for the Dodgers, though, so I think its a acceptable mistake. Perez must be like "Johnson" in central America. I think this team can get to Odalis, though. Of couse, he is a junkballing lefty, so it will probably be a 2-1 score. I guess Russell gets a rest tomorrow in favor of Cirillo. Or does Wesly get his first start of the year?
  8. The offense won't stay dormant forever. Carlos Lee will warm up. He isn't going to suddenly become a .250 hitter who strikes out 175 times just because he changes leagues. Jenkins will go on a hot streak sooner or later, and people on this site will be praying to Jenks bobbleheads at night. Brady Clark has been great. Spivey has been either hit or miss. Overbay has been steady. Branyan/Cirillo was steady until this series. Miller has been great. Hardy has basically sucked, but that was expected. no need to fret yet, guys.
  9. Carlos Perez is a bum. They should be able to get to him. That said, if I owned Perez in a fantasy league, you can bet I'd start him tomorrow.
  10. Well, this series answered some early-season questions. Are the Brewers a playoff team right now? No. Can they compete with a playoff team? Yes. The cards represented the NL in the World Series last year. It isn't like we just got swept by the Cubs here. The positive thing is, the Brewers had great pitching for all 3 games (not too great yesterday, but servicable) They weren't blown out, nor have they been blown out yet this year. If this pitching can continue, they'll win more in the long run.
  11. Well, his options were Hall, Helms and Moeller. Not exactly murder's row. When you don't have a strong bench, that's what happens. Having Jenks and Branyan not at 100% really hurt in this series.
  12. well, that was underwhelming. but, tomorrow's another day. Go get 'em, Cappy!
  13. I'm pretty sure that the vast majority of posters here share my sentiments. Wow...resorting to name calling? Classy. Go away.
  14. Well, I think you can leave this board then. Really, what's the point of posting on a BREWERS message board if you think the team has absolutely no hope. Go watch your wonderful Milwaukee Bucks bucksman4
  15. Not likin' the tone of this post. When did Card fans start posting here? Or do you just dig misery? Either way, I don't like your post.
  16. Especially considering they made Marquis look like...well...Vic Santos in the first inning, and like the 1996 version of Greg Maddux thereafter. It's like after the beginning of the game, every batter has either struck out or grounded to 2B/SS. edit: Drat...cheap home run! dang it well, time to get killed by Issy in the 9th
  17. Boo ground balls to SS/2B! Boo! Yay Vic Santos!
  18. Somewhere in middlewestern America, Clancy weeps. Although with Vinny's propensity to play numerous positions, plus his Wisconsinite status, I wouldn't be surprised ih he's soon touted as our catcher/3B/LF/RF of the future by the current president of the "Cory Hart at 3B" fan club.
  19. The Cult of Squarepusher? Where they kneel before the icons of Khalid, Gary Glover and Bob Brainerd? I thought Square just liked Khalid because his girlfriend is hot?
  20. ummm, everyone here is frusterated, but you just proved you're a complete imbecile. I know that name calling is frowned upon on this board, but I can safely say, with hopefully not threat of retribution, that BadgerinBuckeyeLand is a dumbass
  21. so...um...who should be starting in right then? Magruder is the 4th OF. His job is to take over when one of the top 3 guys goes down. Branyan is probably the 5th OF, and he's not well, either. Do you want to see Bill Hall in right?
  22. Hey...another chance for my awesome prediction of Cappy being the first Brewer pitcher to pick up a hit to come true, enabling me to run here and rub it in everyone's face. Actually, that won't happen. I have class. I don't make generalized predictions and then gloat when they come true. (I still think Cappy gets a knock today, though)
  23. Obviously, this man is forgetting that one Mr. Russell Branyan will be in the lineup today. Mr. Branyan feeds on soft-tossing righties. I look for Branyan and Jenks to have big days today. Hopefully Cappy can get through 6 without too much damage.
  24. Well, you're half right. I think Cirillo gets the start, but Russell will be the most powerful pinch hitter in baseball today.
