  1. baseball fight @ Huntsville! Sounds like Prince was HBP and brawling insued. He and the pitcher have been ejected.
  2. Ozzie Chavez with a 14th inning dinger in his first game after getting promoted. Too bad High Desert inflated his offensive stats...
  3. Once again, this seems to be a case of people criticizing Yost for not making a move that EVERY OTHER MAJOR LEAGUE MANAGER WOULDN'T HAVE MADE. I guess I'm not so much criticizing Yost, as I am Tony LaRussa and every other manager in the game. IMO, holds should be considered to be just as important as saves. edit: of course, if we had more than 4 decent relievers, this wouldn't be as much of a big deal.
  4. Chances are pretty good that you won't be in another bases loaded, one out situation. I want my best pitcher on the mound during the toughest situation, which sometimes isn't the 9th inning.
  5. Seriously, this is exactly why I hate the closer role. If it were my call, Kolb (if he were available) or Vizcaino would be out there right now.
  6. ^^^I'm hoping for option B, but with Santos getting sent down to AAA as soon as Capuano is back.
  7. I would imagine that Dennis Sarfate or Matt Ford would be starting the second Huntsville game
  8. What would it cost to take out an insurance policy on a contract like that? I would imagine it's pretty expensive (as in, too expensive for the Brewers), but I'm sure the Orioles are happy they did that with Albert Belle.
  9. Whoa, Steve Scarborough pitched an inning for Indy. He's the new Durrington.
  10. hey, is that Billy Wagner? no, Billy Wagner doesn't suck
  11. Moeller only needs a single to hit for the cycle ninja edit: gg Ben Ford. How long until Saenz is back?
  12. cool, Helms didn't get behind 0-2 this time
  13. it's ok, Ginter will save the day
  14. Ballouli sounds great, he's only given up two hits in 5 IP. edit: I believe he finished with 6 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 8 K. Not too shabby...
  15. Do you guys think Ben Grieve is giving maximum effort for the Brewers? I'm not too fond of making judgements about effort, because I assume everyone gives 100%, but his play seems pretty lackadaisical. It looks as though he's just coasting. I think he's just REALLY slow.
  16. I never inhaled. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/glasses.gif
  17. a double for Weeks, he's having quite a game
  18. Hardy with game winning RBI single, 7-6
  19. I've always thought Kinney could be a decent reliever, but that's about it. Actually, Kinney can flat-out rake, lets just stick him in RF. He's got the arm for it. Nice seeing the 2 bombs from Pods, but is anyone else a little bothered that he's hitting a LOT of flyballs? He's flying out to the track it seems at least once a game, and he doesn't have the kind of power that would justify swinging for the fences all the time. S-Pod is the new Willie Mays Hayes
  20. I think a split of this series isn't too far-fetched. Sheets is an Astro killer, and Houston has that knuckleballer (who couldn't throw a strike to save his life last Friday) starting Saturday.
  21. Obermueller with an RBI single, Wayne Franklin now on the mound. Will the Brewers hold on to their winning record in games Franklin pitches?
  22. Nice to see that Yost is somewhat willing to switch the batting order around a bit.
  23. Looks like Suppan isn't throwing too many strikes. Could be a good game. Oh look, Clark just hit a dinger. Unfortunately, it seems that I can't get this on MLB.TV, even though I'm in MN.
  24. I've just found out the hard way that they go by credit card zip codes. I live in MN, but since my credit card address is in WI, so I won't be able to watch any games. edit: actually, it looks like all 7pm games are blacked out. i may be in luck after all.
