bball/jamie, have you guys picked a night yet? I'd think that we'd want to have the application ready to go for Friday the 1st to make sure we have a chance at getting a spot in the league of our choice.

I know it probably seems like I'm making a push for the Friday night team, but my guess is that league is a lot less competitive as it is a social league. All of the 100 leagues are the upper leagues in the city with the "Power" being the top.

Not trying to be a smart ass or anything, but Sijan is considered one of the holy grails of City ball. Guys and sometimes teams go play there to get picked up for the Power league on Tuesdays. I know we're in it for the fun, but I don't think Bay Street would get a win over there.

    I'd play Friday's.

Colby have you had a chance to talk to Tony Butler at all or atleast provide a scouting report on him? I know he was home for a while in Oak Creek but I missed seeing him this year. I remember our talk in the outfield before softball one game, I'm still bitter the Brewers passed on him for Brewer.

I bartend and work for Milwaukee County Parks. I consider that in itself a perk of my life.

I could play if it were on Fridays as well. I'm set already Mon-Thurs.

Yeah this is a whole entire second team. We already have a team on Thursday night's at Sijan, and just recently we've starting a second one. The night is still TBD and more information will be known in the next couple weeks. Throw smsimballer on this team with a friend of mine I had register for the site the other night and we're sitting with 6-7 guys for this team with plenty of time to join.

Is the real happy youngster looking for a spot on the bf.net softball team? If so this just might have made my day.

This is official. Radman is off the team. smsimballer1220 is the new member.

As of right now put me down for 4 people; myself, and 3 of my buddies that want to play and will join the site when the time comes.

Well not much discussion going on here about this... well once again, now with over 2,000 members, more and more guys are going to want to come out every year and instead of turning them away, two teams will work perfectly.

This is exactly why I think two teams would work. For one, Jamie would have nothing to do with the second squad, and two, we'd have the bi-annual brewerfan softball game in the Milwaukee area. We already have one new guy and potentially 3 more that would play. And to answer Brian's comment about having 10 guys last year, we knew about that well in advance and then as it is for any other captain, there responsibility to fill out a minimum of 9 guys for a game.

Well we're still 25 weeks or something away from the start of the year, but I know leagues like getting all of their paperwork filed promptly. So it came to my mind after discussion last year and going through it first hand this year, that we split up some guys and add a few more to go ahead with 2 Brewerfan.net squads. There are many reasons for this, most notably the large bench size and lack of at-bats for some people. As it has been said before, what fun is it in a social league not playing defense and only getting 2 or 3 AB's a game? The number one solution would be to get enough guys, preferably 11-12 on each team, in time for Jamie to hand in the paperwork. This would allow him to let someone else run the second squad and possibly have a player draft for each of the teams. We all have friends or know someone that I'm sure is chomping at the bit to play, as I know I have atleast two that would join in a heartbeat. Hopefully we could have two squads set up quick enough in hope that a spot opens up in the Thursday night league at Sijan. Even if we applied to play there, I'm guessing they'd let us due to the field having lights and having a 6:00 game from now on. Let the discussion begin.

www.4spark.com IDK if it's illegal or something, but that is every episode from every season ever created. I usually always have an episode playing in the background ever since my buddy showed me that a couple weeks ago.
  19. Rightomac13
The Woodland Critters showing up made the episode for me. Also, I have a feeling this is going to be the episode we see Darth Chef come back since they're saving it for something. IDK tho, but I am loving parts 1 and 2 and I cannot wait for next weeks.

Holy cow that was 22 min. of non stop laughter. You can tell that they had been planning that one for a while with all of the "Tourette's Guy" quotes that have been going around these days. But yeah, the episode was definitely an all-time favorite for me.

Packers by a long shot. I can actaully watch a football game and lose track of the three hours that it took because I'll just get hooked into it. Baseball doesn't do it for me. Night game, another story most likely because their is nothing else on.

I'll be home the weekend of September 9th if we can do it then.

Jamie, I hope you checked with the county as they have like 80 million fields to choose from. http://www.milwaukeecounty.org/router.asp?docid=8694 As bball said in the other thread, Wilson and Zablocki are some of your nicer fields and I'm sure they'll be open on a Saturday afternoon in mid August.
