    Yeah I also would have had Sheets take all the way. Hopefully the crew can rally this inning so Sheets can be credited with a win.

    Well, there were a couple questionable decisions in this game but I'm not going to harp on them. This was a very memorable game. Kinney did well, Kieschnick (sp) was amazing, and the last at bat by Counsell actually made me smile.

    Do you guys think Ben Grieve is giving maximum effort for the Brewers? I'm not too fond of making judgements about effort, because I assume everyone gives 100%, but his play seems pretty lackadaisical. It looks as though he's just coasting.

    I thought that was quite odd myself endaround. Also, it seems like Yost doesn't mind hurting a players confidence if its Ben Grieve.

    I would have defended Kinney in the past, but not tonight. Bill Hall missing the pop-up and Jenkins getting caught in a rundown is not helping matters.

    I agree with you Scoop. Oddly, he seems worse this year than he was last year, although small sample size could have much to do with it.

    It was a fun game to watch - Oswalt was simply dominating. He deserved the win tonight.

    I get sarcasm. I think it's you that doesn't understand, wiscrules. Tell me what exactly is sarcastic about that post? It can be reasonably inferred that because of recent losses that this quote should be taken literally. My first post was not one hundred percent serious by the way.

    There is one throw in specific with Pods where I think the play should have been made. It was a bloop single to shallow center where Hidalgo froze because he thought the ball might be caught but he still scored because of an offline throw. In no way am I saying the defense was the cause for the loss, it was without a doubt due to lackluster pitching - however, that is a play I hope to see executed.

    The defense seemed pretty shoddy the whole game, actually, from my observations. Pods had several bad throws, one that should have nailed a runner at the plate for sure, and Jenkins made some imperfect plays in the outfield, although I don't think they resulted in any extra bases.

    Matt Kinney is 2/3 at the plate. If Ben Grieve doesn't pan out we can always plug Kinney in at RF. I don't know if he has a good enough arm though. In all seriousness, it's going to take Sheets several weeks to catch up to Kinney in the batting race.
