Nah, keep Turnbow. He's the perfect guy to mop up throw-away innings the rest of the season. Only reason he's pitched in meaningful situations lately is because the team has only been in meaningful situations the last three weeks. Bush is fine in the minors. He'll be back up within a few months. At least he's not Claudio Vargas.
Give a Yost a break! He didn't get two guys picked off against Philly. He didn't try to stretch a double into a triple with no outs. He didn't overslide third base last night. The vaunted offense just isn't getting it done. Blame the manager all you want, but foul balls and warning track blasts don't get it done. (pared back long nested quote --1992)
Anyone else tired of these one- and two-run games? I'd hoping for a nice, crisp 7-1 rout tonight. A road trip to the Midwest is just about the right time for a team like Florida to fall apart. Go Yo!
QL was a great show ... remember the episode around the Kennedy assassination. Blew my mind when I saw that (eh, that might not be the best way of saying that).
How strange would it be if McClung and Turnbow end being the best guys out of the pen? Anyone else thinking Gange may be the odd guy out in a few months?
