  1. Just want to say that Linebrink had much worse minor league stats than Inman despite being 2-3 years older in each level. And Linebrink wasn't good in AAA or the bigs until the Padres trade when he was age 27. This season, Linebrink has been average. Despite his very young age, Inman has produced at every level so far. After his poor first couple AA starts, Inman has settled down and has been pitching better. His AA numbers have been improving with each start. Inman is only age 20 and just needs some time to develop, I think the Brewers should have given him that instead of trading him.
  2. I think this is a bad trade and I don't like it, trading Inman for Linebrink is a mistake. I think with more seasoning, Inman could make a decent starter in the bigs and if he's converted to a reliever like CV, Inman could make a better reliever than Linebrink for years to come.
  3. I agree with you on CV. As for Turnbow, he has the stuff to attack hitters, moreover he had a 3 run lead to work with. His big problem is usually with the walks. Yesterday, he did a great job attacking Reds hitters in a tied game. Very nice Win, go Brewers!
  4. At least Turnbow did attack the strike zone and sometimes the hitter wins this duel. I prefer to see Turnbow attacking hitters than walking them. I agree, nice job by Yost to make a quick switch to CV, before it's too late.
  5. I would do this trade. Nice idea OrlandoBrewer.
  6. I wonder how many BBs DD is gonna give up in the today's game? At the rate Davis is walking hitters, he could exceed last year's 102 BBs. Come on Cappy, don't be like walking machine Davis, attack them hitters.
  7. Didn't Mike Maddux said that Sheets is a warrior?
  8. I think the best way to limit Yo's innings is to try and clinch the playoff berth quickly, the Brewers can then rest Yo for the remaining schedule before the postseason starts. But in order to clinch the playoff berth quickly may require Yo to make his starts now.
  9. This trade is looking good. Kendall's first start snapped the Cubs 4 game winning streak. Hopefully Kendall's second start could begin a Cubs losing streak. Be careful Jason, crazy Zambrano is on the mound tomorrow.
  10. Yi is under contract to play for the Guandong Tigers for one more season. And if I'm not mistaken, Chinese players are also paid an allowance by their govt to play for the national team. So either way Yi's being paid to play basketball, as such his NBA rights should also belong to the Bucks next year under current NBA rules. Looks like Yi's boss, Guangdong Tigers chief Chen Haitao, is now resorting to using the national team as the excuse and making false claims to force the Bucks to trade Yi. He's also trying to swing chinese public opinion to his favor. I hope the Bucks don't play into Chen's hands. There's little need to talk or negotiate with him, just repeat your earlier statements on Yi's playing time politely to the media and remain firm all the way. In the end it is much worse off for Chen to have Yi return to the Tigers this season, then it is for the Bucks. If Yi prefers to play in China, so be it. But I hope the Bucks stand firm all the way, don't trade him.
  11. To be fair to Cappy, Jenkins tried to backhand it and failed to catch the ball. Why does Cappy walk hitters right after getting the lead, he's killing himself again like his last game.
  12. Braun and Fielder, back to back power studs.
  13. There's no other interested teams that can compete with the Bucks offer so he decides to play this lying game on the Bucks to con them. So it is disgusting to me. It would not be disgusting, if he actually signs up on Heat's lower offer since he repeatedly said he's so keen to play for the Heat.
  14. I think Mo is just holding out to squeeze more money from the Bucks. I really hope the Bucks call his bluff and don't increase their offer one iota. This game Mo and his agent are playing on the Bucks is disgusting.
  15. Frankly, I getting annoyed with Yi's behaviour and I think he is a racist. This is USA not China, if he wants to play in a city with lots of Chinese, he should go back to China. In the Chinese media, Yi claims that he is a humble person and sincerely wants to play in the NBA to improve his skills for the national team. I think it's all a big farce, Yi is actually an arrogant prima donna, insincere and a liar. I hope the Bucks and commissioner Stern stand firm and united on this matter. Allowing Yi and his camp to succeed with their tactics to circumvent the draft would set a very bad precedent for future Asian players.
  16. To be fair, Cappy did look good in the first 5 innings of yesterday's game, but seemingly self-destructed in the sixth and that inning got really ugly. Think it was Cappy who said that the team went on a winning streak when he was put in the DL. But since he came off the DL, the team lost 3 straight series, maybe it's just coincidence or bad luck. With Vargas, Suppan and Cappy struggling to put in quality starts, sometimes I think it's a pity to have Yo and CV in the bullpen when the team is already down a few runs by the time the ball goes to the relievers.
  17. Wang is his surname (family name). For chinese names, the surname is always written first followed by his given name, which is unlike the english names where the surname is the last name. So technically, Wang Chien-Ming is the right way to write his name. Wang Íõ means "King" in chinese. His name Chien-Ming ½¨Ãñ means "to build people". Btw, Chien ½¨ is also the same as Jian ½¨ in new Bucks pick Yi Jian Lian's name Ò×½¨Áª. Jian Lian means "to build unity". The Taiwanese do not follow the mainland Chinese Hanyu Pinyin translation hence the difference in spelling.
  18. Just wondering which Ford runs faster, T.J. or Darren?
  19. Yeah, the 2008 Olympics is a huge deal to the Chinese govt, they've spent billions on this event and on their olympic athletes, they're expecting their athletics to do better in this huge event for their motherland. I think the Chinese govt is more concern with Yi's NBA playing time than money, no point having him rot on the bench. The concerns of Yi's marketing and earnings are from his handlers which are his CBA team owner, Nike and agents appointed by his handlers. Frankly, I do think Yi is being exploited by these people as a huge percentage of his earnings goes to them, as well as the profits generated from him.
  20. Dear Doug Melvin, Please move Yovani back into the Brewers rotation, I think this would be better for the team and for him. Yovani looks more comfortable and relax starting every fifth day, rather than pitching out of the bullpen with shorter rest period. Thanks and regards.
  21. From what I read in the above articles, Cody seems to have very good makeup and confidence, similiar to Inman.
  22. He can still play for the CBA (Chinese Basketball Association). But I don't think he would, less money, prestige, and lower competition.
