  1. I would do this trade.
  2. For me, I'd prefer to keep Capellan, his velocity is up to 95. I think he could be a useful reliever and will remain cheap for a several years. The guys I would offer around are Graffy, Mench, Jenkins, Spurling, Dessens, Sarfate and Aquino.
  3. Braun was a hurricane and LaPorta was a gator, different schools.
  4. Watching Gindl's video, he was making strong and accurate throws to the plate from CF, impressive. He has a good arm and could probably throw out some runners trying to score from 2B on a single.
  5. Well if it's any consolation, the Brewers history with the 7th pick is pretty good. Before LaPorta, the only other 7th pick for the Brewers was Prince, it was not well received by many but it has turned out to be an excellent pick. LaPorta's offensive numbers are very impressive, let's give Jack Z the benefit of the doubt and see how he pans out.
  6. Just woke up and finding out who the Brewers pick. It's a surprising pick LaPorta and I like it. An advanced impact bat with very good power and plate discipline, something the Brewers need in their lineup to backup Prince. The MLB.com scouting report on his hitting is really impressive... Hitting Ability: Simply put, LaPorta can flat out hit. Period. After a subpar junior year because of injury, he's back raking again at Florida with outstanding plate discpline to boot. Power: LaPorta has as much power as any bat, especially from the college ranks, in this draft class. He's got power to all fields and can hit the ball out of any ballpark with any kind of bat. Strengths: He can hit and hit with plenty of power. Listening to Zduriencik and Melvin's press conference, their minor league coaches think LaPorta is okay at LF in his tryouts, and he could also serve as Prince's backup at 1B. Melvin said that LaPorta will probably sign with the Brewers in 3 days. He could be playing in the minors in a couple of weeks and I'm excited to see what he can do. I like the Lucroy pick too, good defensive catcher with an above average arm and good offensive numbers.
  7. Thanks ColbyJack for your kind effort, information and player profiles for the draft coverage.
  8. I also hope the Brewers don't pick Wieters. I think he's over-rated and not worth the money he's asking.
  9. Please say no to Phillippe Aumont, Doug. Moustakas is a fine choice. I think even Tim Alderson is a better pitcher than Aumont and Alderson is not a top 20 pick.
  10. I think it's time send Gywnn down to AAA when Weeks returns from DL.
  11. Man, CoCo is a killer stud. Yeah, we probably won't have CV for tomorrow and that's bad, the other BP guys have to step up.
  12. Yucks a walk, Turnbow please don't screw this up. Thanks.
  13. 9 for 9 base stealing with the best wheels on the team, another reason to have Hart at leadoff over Weeks.
  14. Another very nice inning pitched by CV, way to go.
  15. I will pass too. D-Train is over-rated and the price is too steep.
  16. Come on CV, finish this inning with no runs allowed.
  17. Having watched all of Braun's ABs since he's callup, Braun seems to like to attack the relatively high pitches. The homer was an above the waist fastball.
  18. Man, Hardy's unlucky today, rob of a double and a single so far by Cubs D.
  19. Wow, today's game is the opposite of yesterday's so far, Brewers coming up with clutch hits. Sweet.
  20. For me, I wouldn't trade Inman for Crawford.
  21. Like Yo and CV, Inman is untouchable to me. I like the way he pitch and I love his style. I would very much like to see him, Yo and CV with the Brewers for a long time.
  22. After Bush gave up the first single in the 7th, I was really hoping Yost would hand the ball over to Wise to finish off the inning. I think Yost left Bush in one batter too long.
  23. Excellent Win! Clean sheet for ace Sheets, like the way he pitched out of trouble. Very happy to see Turnbow aggressively attacking the strikezone instead of giving easy walks. CV = cool and reliable, and killer CoCo gets his 21st straight save with ease. Finally, glad to to see the pitching staff snap their shutout slump and JJ snap his homer slump.
  24. This is turning into a really ugly inning and it all started with those two horrible walks by Turnbow. I'm really annoyed with Turnbow.
