One thing that drives me nuts about Betancourt is how he hurts our pitchers by making them throw extra pitches because of his poor defense and then turns around and helps their pitchers by swinging at the first pitch he see to keep their pitch count down. Well, maybe that is two things that drive me nuts.

I really find it hard to dislike the Reds and their fans after the way they stepped up with us in their fury of the Classies. Their forum posters are pretty funny and Brandon Phillips nailed it right on the head when he called them out last year.

I wholeheartedly disagree with you. I've been to about 100 different spring training practices and have watched Braun repeatedly be gracious and friendly with fans, coaches, teammates all the time. If you want a cocky/jerk/prick type (AT THE TIME) you could see it oozing out of Brett Lawrie. I've had multiple conversations with him, one of which was discussing the WBC right before he went to play in it. We talked for 10 minutes. He was signing autos the entire time. A cocky/jerk/prick type pro athlete wouldn't do that. Braun gets it when it comes to his status in the game and he also gets it when it comes to marketability. He isn't going to do anything to mess that up.

Hawk used a quick pitch on Berkman. TLR came out to whine. Hawk then threw about 4 more of them and K'd the last guy looking.....pretty good.

Yeah, I hear ya. The whole thing is ludicrous. I'll go with the Brewers using the wrong mud on the baseballs today. That would be the only way to explain Yadi not catching the one and throwing the other out to Patterson.
