  1. RR is in a no win situation. He lets Narv in and Narv blows up like he seems to do we get after him for that. At this point in the season I subscribe to if you warm a guy up you use him. I think that helps keep everyone a little more fresh. You got more than you expected at that point out of Narv and Marcum. Use the weapons you have and get the win. Which RR seems to think involves K-rod/Axford duo. Right now it is very hard to argue with given the results (Wins and rest for and over worked bullpen prior to the K-rod trade). I brought that same point up the other night. He can't win no matter what he does.
  2. He is from Cuba.I know that.....but usually vets can speak some English.
  3. We don't know what the long term plan is. They may ride the k-rod/axford duo for a couple of weeks. Rest everyone else until August. At that point maybe he starts letting the starters go deeper. Like I said if they keep pitching like this it is hard not to save everyone else at the expense of two guys. It is a good problem to have to say the least because it means they are all pitching well. Very true. If that is the long term plan I will eat my words. To be perfectly honest I don't know that I can bring myself to give Ron credit for that yet. And it is a great problem to have that we are complaining about starters being pulled after 7 and then having to use Krod or Ax. I can agree with that. ^^^ I just think that since we have the firepower, we should use it. If everyone does their job to their ability, they are going to win, period.
  4. I meant use him in every available hold/save situation. He may go 4 games without pitching if they stick to that philosophy.
  5. See that is the type of rigid thinking that is dangerous. Krod and Ax should be used in the most high leverage situations period. What if your boy Greinke is at 75 pitches after 7 in a 3-1 game. WILL we still see a combo of Krod and Ax? Look i dont think its a horrible decision to go to Krod and Ax. I just dont think its the right one and I don't like the way it has been used by Ron.I think Roenicke has used him pretty well so far. Why do we pick up K-Rod if we aren't going to use him in every available situation when he's a rent-a-player and happens to be pretty darn good? He's not Kam Loe.
  6. Did you watch Marcum get pounded around in the 7th? Just because they were outs doesn't mean the Giants weren't getting really good contact on him. They were outs, 3 outs for 3 batters. Besides the one to Morgan, none were hit that hard and he has looked great the entire game. You still didn't answer my question... Google it yourself and see how good those guys are deep in to games. I bet you find their sample sizes are pretty small. Think there may be a reason for that? And yet, you think we shouldn't use one of the most established relievers in recent memory for a hold in a save situation? I must be way off here.
  7. And simply put, if the game is within 3 runs, you will (AND SHOULD...you like what I did there?) see a combo of K-Rod and Ax.
  8. Well he is FOR SURE better than Marcum, Narv or Wolf in the 8th. What you just saw there was pretty much par for the course....You're right. You can say that FOR SURE. When you speak in absolutes it discredits what you are saying. Let me just ask how you can say that FOR SURE? Marcum was cruising and could have easily done the same thing. You could save Krod for a different situation where he comes in for a pitcher that is struggling or in a higher leverage situation. Did you watch Marcum get pounded around in the 7th? Just because they were outs doesn't mean the Giants weren't getting really good contact on him.
  9. Because that would be silly?? Has Greinke even made it in to the 8th inning yet? Well he is FOR SURE better than Marcum, Narv or Wolf in the 8th. What you just saw there was pretty much par for the course....
  10. Why don't we just agree that K Rod is WAY better in the 8th than any starter we have not named Gallardo or Greinke when they're hot.
  11. He needs to chill out. Bottom of 8 we'll come back to him rifling a ball into the stands.....
  12. Good thing that field plays like the Polo Grounds up the middle....
  13. How long til Joe West implodes? I want game and inning of said game.....I say 4th inning tomorrow.
  14. It's a good thing that bat stayed inside the fence. With that height and distance....OUCH!
  15. Not surprising at all. Aside from the physical threats that happened to me and 4 buddies at a game at Chase. Best part, they were playing the Cubs so we were cheering for the DBACKS. We had an usher come down and say that we were being too loud in our support of the team as a result of the old guy sitting in front of us complaining to the usher.. I told him that where we're from, there is no such thing as cheering too loud for your team. The usher said, "Well we're not where you're from." Apparently not... We were apparently sitting in a season ticket area because once others in the area heard what was going on, they started ripping on "Hank" and the section got pretty rowdy. All in all it ended up being a fun experience at the expense of Hank.
  16. Does anyone else find that Lottery commercial to be extremely annoying and LOUD????
