  1. Good job Rickie.. We need some early runs today It seems like Arroyo is either lights or or stuggles.. hopefully the crew can get it going early. Gomez took a huge hack there, that drives me crazy
  2. A win would be really nice today, it would be tough to start a season 0-3 after everyone was pretty optimistic just a few days ago. Arroyo usually does pretty well against the crew, and it looks like Kotsay is the only one who has had real success against him in the past. Right now, I dont have much confidence in Wolf against a lineup like the Reds, but the Brewers really need to find a way to win today. It would be nice for the Brewers to have at least 1 win before I head to Miller Park on Tuesday...
  3. I have a hard time believing high profile stars are stupid enough to do steroids (after what has happened in the past) due to the consequences that would come if they were caught. I think steroids are probably more prevalent in the minors or for people on the cusp of the majors who are desperate to make it. Dont go overboard with the difference in Braun. I would not go as far as saying he hardly looks like the same guy...
  4. that is funny because I thought he looked like the emperor from star wars
  5. wow. quick innings for Volquez.. hopefully Yovani can get one of those now
  6. Good. Yo hasnt looked to sharp today, but also has had 3 lucky hits against him.. Kotsay is very slow and I would not mind seeing Morgan in right field at all until Hart gets back
  7. Lets get an out here. It would be a shame if they get some runs because of a horrible call like that
  8. There is the first K of the year for Yovani! Where is the curve? hes just not throwing it
  9. Great play by Casey. I would not have like to see the first batter get on again. Yo can use a quick inning! 1-2-3
  10. Yovani not able to get that 3rd strike so far.. lots of pitches thrown so far
  11. too bad.. a good pitch goes for a weak single.. Yo is throwing a ton a fastballs right now..
  12. I think Gomez literally started his swing after the ball was in the glove there. Knock another run in here Braun!
  13. I know Morgan may not have the best arm for right field, but it would be fun to see him out there with Gomez at the same time. They could cover quite a bit of ground out there, especially when we have more of a fly ball pitcher out there like Wolf.
  14. But he's going to keep facing "other teams" with the Brewers as he did with the Nats. Unfortunately, the only way to find out that his anger problems of last fall aren't past him is the hard way. In this case I side more with OWBC's wariness than cheesecup22's relative optimism. Right. But what I am saying is that he I don't feel that he will break apart a clubhouse from within. Prince has had similar problems with "anger issues" toward the opposing team, but it does not seem to affect the team a whole lot. My only concern is that this will affect Gomez. I was as down on Gomez as anyone last year, but for some reason had optimism for him after a strong spring. Hopefully Gomez is given a chance and full confidence to start the year.
