    I think I remember seeing that now too. It's just amazing to me that he can miss a third of the season, play a couple minor league games and get right back to raking MLB pitching. I may not like him and some of his antics but I would love To have manny on the crew

    I see it as better to overpay a little bit to get him to pitch here than to have to go find yet another solution to fill your gaps. I don't think the Brewers wanted to have to go to "Plan D", as another poster said. I don't think Jolio would be a good decision as "Plan D"

    I wonder if the Brewers will still attend the pitching session with Cordero? Would they still make a move to get him even though they now have a closer? That could be a awesome settup/closer combo if Cordero could come back from his surgery and put up around the same numbers.

    I would have to agree on the idea of bringing back Mota too. He was solid for the second half after a shaky beginning of the year. It would also give them some much needed depth in the bullpen and gives options in case of injury to the starting rotation.

    Has Torres filed his retirement papers yet? It would sure be great if they could land Hoffman and then convince Torres to come back for one more year.

    I live in Denver, so luckily I can DVR it and I won't have to be worried about anyone ruining the final outcome for me. But its going to take some fortitude to get myself not to turn on gameday at work.

    Matt LaPorta..... He is the reason the CC deal could get done. I shutter to think how the team would have done with someone other than CC in all those starts.

    Can they just try to steal home next time we get someone on 3rd. It seems they would have the same chance to score on that than getting a base hit or sacrifice.

    You seriously think they need to be told they're not playing up to their potential? Right, if Gagne wasn't booed so much this year, he'd probably think he was having a great season. No, I'm sure they hear it from the management before they hear it from the fans (at least I hope they do). But why not voice your displeasure or need for change? Fans pay too much money to put up with a streak of lousy performances by big money players. Plus, voicing displeasure on a vent thread does not relay in any way, to the players or management, that you are upset with their performance/decisions or lack there of.

    I think that booing, in general, is justified. Mind you not for every little thing, but it is justified. How else does a fan voice his/her displeasure with how a team is playing? They certainly can't call up random players on their cell phone and say, "hey, your not playing up to your potential, get with the program." There isn't, as far as I know, a comment suggestion box by the dugout that Ned takes notes from on a daily basis. I think that if a fan wants to start a chorus of boos for Gagne (just an example, you could insert a lot of different names here) after he walks his first two batters and proceeds to get shelled, by all means do it, because no one in the dugout is gonna tell him that he needs to step it up. I don't think that boo means "you suck or you're a bum", its more like a chant to say "hey, we know you are better than this, let's go!"
