Again, Kottaras was Wolf's catcher last year, and is his good friend. Wolf had nothing to do with Nieves being on the roster. Only the fact that Lcuroy isn't catching him, and really that's all Roenicke's decision too.

That would probably be our best option, but I doubt it happens. Roenicke has already said that he wants to give some guys days off, so I'll stand by my earlier guess: Prince DH / Kotsay at 1B, Rickie DH / Counsell 2B (Yuni SS), Braun DH / Kotsay LF for the three game set. It's possible Wilson will get the 2B gig while Rickie DH's when we face a lefty. Yep, guarantee this is exactly what happens. I think we face Lackey, Lester, Beckett. So I'd say Game 1 Kotsay 1B/Prince DH, Game 2 Wilson 2B/Rickie DH, Game 3 Kotsay LF/Braun DH.

Nope, Ash said it's not happening. I hope Kottaras is an option though now that he's on the team.

We better win this game. That's all I can say. If we lose 3 in a row to the Cubs, and especially to Zambrano, I will be extremely pissed.

Why? Kottaras was his personal catcher last year, and is his good friend. I'm sure he's just as happy about this as anyone else. Nieves was his catcher by default.

Even if Hawkins is hurt, Roenicke has Braddock, and even Dillard.Yeah, not sure why Braddock didn't start the inning against two lefties.

For those who hate RRR and those who think either the trade for Marcum/Morgan/Grienke was our best offseason move, I honestly think the NOT signing of Brenly was the best offseason move. Or the NOT signing of McGehee to a long-term deal.

Sweet Cirillo is filling in for Bill in July. That'll be nice for a change. I also wish he had the job instead of Bill. Some real insight will be nice to hear.
