  1. Wow Yuni is dumb, but caught a break. But seeing that quick replay it looks like he might've.
  2. Yeah, on a pitch he had no business swinging at. He should've taken the walk.
  3. Wish McGehee had taken that walk. Not surprised that he swung at that though.
  4. I agree. If Lucroy bats even 7th, he gets a sac fly right there. Why? Because he actually knows how to hit.But that really isn't something you can assumeWell, he flew out to left, so yeah I can. And no he wouldn't be pitched differently, because the bases were loaded in both cases.
  5. Even if McGehee is batting before Lucroy, there is zero logic at all in hitting Yuni before Lucroy. Hell, Betancourt should be on the damn bench. My loathing of that guy can't be overstated. I agree. If Lucroy bats even 7th, he gets a sac fly right there. Why? Because he actually knows how to hit.
  6. This is why the best 6 hitters should hit 1-6. They clearly pitched around Prince because McGehee is behind him, and Hart because Betancourt is behind him. Hart 5th, Lucroy 6th, and problem solved.
  7. Yuni, it's your time to shine. I bet he swings at the first pitch.
  8. Well, I'll take it. Few feet from a DP, few feet from a hit. At least got an RBI.
  9. Surprised he brought it with that 3-0 pitch, but then he just walked him anyway. Just don't GIDP Casey.
  10. Yes! Great bunt by Morgan! One of the many reasons he's better than Gomez.
  11. McGehee is hitting .141(13/92) since May 17. .087(4/46) since May 30.
  12. Sounds like a deal to me.
  13. Yep, looks like Yo has his stuff tonight. Good news for us, bad news for the Cubs.
  14. Runner at 1st. Maybe Prince will see some strikes. But, maybe not.
  15. Dumb decision. Now we get to see Kotsay playing all the time. I guess they couldn't afford to option Estrada or Dillard, neither of whom they use anyway because Loe has to pitch everyday.
  16. Not teams, one team. The Cubs are the first team to noticeably pitch around Fielder. Why the Cardinals didn't is beyond me. Sure they walked him a few times, but there wasn't anything to the extent of the Cubs last night. But more teams will do it now that they see it works. I'm surprised this didn't start happening sooner, but it's going to continue if McGehee stays cold and in the 5 spot.
  17. Guarantee Fielder gets walked at least twice tonight. Not sure why the Cardinals pitched to him with McGehee behind him, but the Cubs won't.
