    Sorry, but if the 2nd batter of the game takes you out of the game.......... if the team is really that weak, they don't belong here then. I don't think you fully appreciate the importance of every out in a playoff game, especially when all of the opposing team's runs came in a single inning. Exactly, it's a different story if the Cards had mustered anything at all on offense the rest of the game, but that didn't happen.

    Because RR only makes bad moves, not good ones. Lol, that's a great point.

    The criticism is on Roenicke for starting Kotsay. If that catch is made, the Cardinals score only one run in the first, and even without the homer by Kotsay we probably win 2-1. None of that other stuff would matter. That was the biggest play of the game. Hurt Yo, and took us out of the game momentum wise.

    Yeah, I'd be fine with Kotsay over Gomez as well. Hart looks lost at the plate right now.

    Why would it be shocking to see Hart sit? Roenicke sat Morgan for Kotsay when he was struggling. Why wouldn't he sit Hart while he's struggling? After seeing Kotsay get a start in CF nothing would shock me. In fact Counsell has great stats against Lohse...just saying.

    Yeah, I'd sit Hart tomorrow and go with Gomez and Morgan. Maybe this for a lineup. Not sure I'd put both Morgan and Gomez at the top. Morgan Hairston Braun Fielder Weeks Betancourt Kottaras Gomez Wolf

    Well, Kotsay still has cost us more runs than he's produced, but that helps.

    And Weeks gets a hit. Oh, what could've been Roenicke....

    Well, that's 3 runs that Kotsay has for sure cost us. The DP would've ended the inning at a 1-0 score if Gomez was in there. And who knows if we would've scored or not in the first.

    Doesn't look like it'll rain until around 8:30 or so. I would guess both starters will start the game.

    I've officially lost all confidence I had left in Roenicke. There is absolutely no reason to give Kotsay a postseason start.

    I'm very concerned Prince will go to the Cubs. That would just be a spirit crusher. I'd die a little inside seeing him in Cubs pinstripes. I don't wanna have to hate him forever.

    I'm now scared to death that Theo will target Prince in the offseason. However, I'm still holding out hope that he'll target pitching more. Definitely worried though.

    Maybe Diego should just stand in the box for Soup's first pitch and crush it into the right field bleachers.

Pretty much kept cursing, probably didn't realize he couldn't lo, until they said something, then he left the interview. The interview was good stuff though. Classic Nyjer.

    I second this. If there's a situation where they feel they absolutely have to pitch to him, then pitch him inside and keep everything down.

    He is also thinking about benching Morgan due to his poor defense, yet is considering putting Kotsay in CF against Carpenter. Makes perfect sense. Yeah, it better be Gomez if Morgan doesn't start. I'd rather have the defense. Kotsay is no better option than Morgan offensively. Actually, he may not be better than Gomez offensively at this point. Gomez has been swinging it well lately.

    Yeah, I wouldn't bash him for starting Narveson. It's worth trying something different. If Marcum starts, I'll go into the game expected him to get rocked. At least I'll have some hope if Narveson takes the mound.

    Yeah, it was definitely a terrible show. I really hope the Laurinaitis era doesn't last too long. I think he's extremely boring, hard to listen to, and hard to watch. They definitely need to bring in someone who fits the role better. I'm hoping for Mick Foley, but there's a lot of people who would be better than Laurinaitis.
