  1. I mean I think that is pretty dismissive of what happened, the game isn't won on a single play just because it's the last play. Just the fact they didn't lay down and die like 90% of teams after the first series is pretty telling. I think it is pretty funny that because Rodgers got hurt, the whole thing is the Jets suck and Allen laid an egg. If this exact same game unfolded and Rodgers never got hurt the whole narrative would be how awesome their defense is. I think their defense is being dismissed. They are extremely good up front, they will be that way with or without Rodgers. Are they going to get the same Zach Wilson or can he at least be, I dunno, Matt Cassel or something.
  2. What aspect of it? The QB expressing which play designs he doesn't like sounds about as nothingburger as it gets and something that should probably happen. Or just that it's in the media?
  3. Idk why people are acting like went 4-13 last year. That was a really young team that started 7-4 and then sputtered. Even without adding Rodgers it is likely they take a leap this season anyway just because of how talented and young the team is. That said, yeah, I expected them to be in the AFCCG with Rodgers. I think they have a large variance of wins. Wilson totally sucks it's not crazy to see them go 6-11. I think they are too good defensively to be that bad. I won't be surprise at all if they are a low-seed playoff team without Rodgers.
  4. I don't see it. Their defense is extremely good. They are imo an 8-9 floor with potential to do more if Wilson can not lose the ball constantly. Skill group is pretty good. Obviously QB is not great and OL is the other meh, but we will see.
  5. I couldn't care less about the pick to be honest. If Love is a decent player I will just thank the Gods and take what we get. But if we are discussing the pick, this is probably the worst scenario because the Jets won't suck even without him, they will probably win 9-11 games so my guess is that we probably went from something like 26th overall to 50th.
  6. They have to run with Wilson for a bit. He shouldn't be on the roster if he doesn't get a few weeks. Idk. Carson Wentz?
  7. I don't think he's going to play again. I don't know him personally but I can't see him rehabbing that to the point he can play at his age. He has things going off the field, I think he will take it as a sign from the cosmos to move on.
  8. I couldn't care less about whatever pick the Packers get. It will be a footnote in history and nobody cares if Love is even a decent QB for 6 years or so. Sad though. Hope initial reports are off and it's not serious. I don't find it funny or karmic or whatever. Just feel really bad for the guy if this is how he goes out.
  9. Packers still laying hit sticks with a minute left up 18. You love to see it.
  10. I can't imagine how embarrassing this loss is for a Bears fan. At home, basically a first career start though not technically, your top pick in his third year looks absolutely terrible and Love gets benched because it's out of hand. You'd have more success at QB picking blindfolded than the Bears have had. It's incredible.
  11. Rodgers was very bad last year and the traditional yards and tds and ints didn't really show it. He is the reason I don't buy this team being really bad this year. He wasn't helping the cause last season. I like the guy and hope he does well but he absolutely hindered the growth of young players last season.
  12. Dillon showed zero patience on that screen. Let the blockers block.
  13. I definitely would not have gone for it there. Hope he's not seriously hurt.
  14. Idk. TE not in right spot on the deep ball. Jones drops a screen that would have been run in for a TD. Forget the receiver (Reed?) dropped a 3rd down conversion that wasn't a good throw but was a catchable pass. I think Love has been fine. A lot to like. He looks composed and comfortable.
  15. That was some bizarre clockwork but Carlson is the kicker I've been dreaming of.
  16. Stop trying to sack Shields at his shoulder pads. It's not Kirk Cousins.
  17. I know Fields is a great athlete but it never fails to amaze me the number of professional athletes that try to tackle guys at the shoulders or stomach. The only chance at a guy like that in open field is his ankles. Not that I could do it but these are professionals.
  18. The dugout should have a net or shield or whatever. Call me Captain Wuss. That's fine. There's an inherent risk in a sport, that much is true. The pitcher taking a ball to the face, a WR getting decimated over the middle, it is an accepted risk of participation. But something like a ball in the dugout that can be prevented with 100% certainty by spending a few thousand dollars? Not doing that is negligent.
  19. Can't believe just putting a net in front of guys or some other comparable measure is being labeled as part of the "wussification of America." Sorry, there is nothing tough or manly about taking a ball to the head at 105mph. It's just stupid. Correct, it rarely happens. Correct, Adames seems (hopefully) fine. Those are not valid reasons to do nothing. Luck is the only reason he is still breathing. Do something before someone is killed at the MLB level, because it will happen. IMO they all look like idiots leaning over the dugout, this is not knee-jerk either, I think that every single game I see it. I'd be the clown on the team sitting in the dugout the entire game.
  20. I'm sort of expecting an extension for Love if goes like 3 weeks and doesn't look completely lost. I don't hate it. It would be really nice to have an above average QB locked in for a while at a discount.
  21. Ok whatever, 5-6 😁
  22. If they aren't really good that 65% is going to be interesting. If they are middling, say 6-8 at some point but have a chance for a playoff spot, it'll be interesting to see how they play that hand.
  23. This is far less true than it was pretty recently. They have seen a considerable boom in the permanent metro area population. LCOL, jobs, and retirees seeking the tax shelter. It is also just a really nice area with a lot going on, miles away from the strip - even if hotter than hell.
