  1. I'll be looking for one as well. That is, of course, if you don't get stabbed...
  2. The whole "ceramic toy" talk aimed towards collectors who are serious about a hobby is getting old. We are all aware what these figures are made of. As I see it, if you view your collection as a bunch of "ceramic toys" and not collectors items that you are proud to display then YOU are not in the right hobby. This is a generic comment not aimed towards anyone specific...I'm just sharing my opinion on a comment I've seen over and over again.

  4. Rumor from a friend of mine...there were some commemorative bobbles, nothing different just signed by Uecker. I'd be interested to know if that's true and if so if there is a COA or MLB sticker or some other identifier. Any info?
  5. Would be interested in trading for one of the Brauns if not spoken for. Let me know what you need.
  6. Really...how many will his "neighbor" be selling?!?!? Not fooling anybody...
  7. I'll be up in the Green Bay area the next few days with my family and was interested if anyone knew of any good bobblehead and/or collectible stores in the area.
  8. If so I think it's pretty ridiculous, especially if they got it from here and had no input.
  9. Your sore thumb is the Woodchucks, it doesn't belong on the list IMO. There are other rare ones (like the Japanese Nomura AGP and TEI Bernie Brewer, both versions) that should be on that list and are way more harder to find, regardless if they were retail or not. Fun thread!
  10. I'c be interested in a couple, please let me know.
  11. To clarify on my rant...I won't pay a premium for one hoping to get a rare one (if there is one) just to find out I, just like those who actually attended the game, never even had a chance.
  12. One of my favorite players as a kid. I get hype at games for wearing his jersey, but those were the years when I was a kid who went to County Stadium with his dad to enjoy a ball game and didn't pay attention (or understand) the politics behind the guy or the game in general. I'll be interested in one or two if anyone has a connection. I won't make the same mistake as the Braun if this is another contracted bobble from an outside source manipulating a minor league team by offering "rare" versions that don't actually make it to the game but rather eBay to pad their pockets.
  13. Send it my way. Definitely interested.
  14. I got SUPER lucky! I was trying all night yesterday to figure out the promotion but couldn't find any info. Then, as I pass Miller Park on my way to work this morning I saw the drones of people and couldn't believe it when I saw all the Chorizos! A quick stop and I scored one. This was a lot easier and smoother than last year, but I think it has a lot to do with the surprise announcement.
  15. And yes I agree...it's tacky.
  16. I get how supply and demand works, it's elementary. I just don't agree with marketing something the Brewers gave someone with expectations not to sell, but merely give away. I'm talking about the specific event surrounding this bobble, not the selling that fans do after SGA games. There's a component of greed here that I've experienced first hand and it doesn't stem from this one transaction.
  17. They gave them to him and told him to give them out to customers, friends, family...unfortunately I'm near 100% certain he's the seller on eBay. It's a damn shame.
  18. This bobble is tainted for me, just like another (Helena Braun) from a few years back. Although this one wasn't made for profit like the blue Helena Braun, it may as well have been considering the way the Brewers handled it by giving a bunch to someone with so much greed... I'm sure they didn't make these for one person to profit on eBay.
  19. Tell the friend he'll get $50 for the bobble and you get the Plaster for selling it. Win-Win!
  20. Well over $100 for the pair...
  21. These were the prototypes sent to the Brewers before the SGA. Very well painted and more robust than the ones given out.
  22. Reminds me of a pair of my most favorite bobbles... http://i330.photobucket.com/albums/l429/snoopeclipse/Sample.jpg
  23. Nice Rowdie! The hard thing with these Indy Indians bobbles is sorting out which should have stickers and which shouldn't and whether your bobble is complete with the originals. Here's the Rowdie I once had before I sold it... http://i330.photobucket.com/albums/l429/snoopeclipse/Rowdie.jpg
  24. I'm not arguing. IMO rarity is based on number. The three aforementioned are rare based on production number alone. Talking Braun not as much as Gorman since there were 1000 vs 500 respectively produced. The fact that not a lot of a certain bobble show up in eBay is purely by chance, and by no means does gauging one avenue's availability of a product make something rare.
