  1. Talent, skill, and work ethic. Work ethic is part of "attitude" in my book. If you don't think work ethic matters... We were talking about attitude, which I consider positive or negative. You can have work ethic and still not be considered a "positive attitude" guy. I think work ethic is independent of attitude... but we should probably get back to the game.
  2. Not sure I'd agree with that. I think it's just one of those things that people "think" matters. What really matters is if you have the talent and skill to work your way out of it. I'm starting to wonder if Casey does.
  3. And if his attitude and being a good teammate are a benefit to the team, they are every bit as valuable on the bench, as those are clubhouse traits anyway.
  4. Watching Twins feed and Braun clearly said after he got to first, "Why would he pitch to me?" It's a great question Ryan, but thanks!
  5. I hope I'm wrong, but this is where the Brewers bats have a tendency to press and swing at pitches out of the strike zone, which is exactly what they can't afford to do against Liriano.
  6. I'm going to be there tomorrow night and Sunday. Looks like I might have gotten lucky on the weather. Who knows, maybe I'll get a double header!
  7. I've been as tough on RR for using Loe exclusively as his 8th inning guy as anyone. That being said, tonight was a perfect spot to use Loe. A tough rh in Youkilis followed by a lefty in Ortiz who hits lhp better than rh, and then another right handed batter. Unfortunately this is not how RR sees it as he'll just see it as his "8th inning guy" doing his job.
  8. I really hope Braddock gets himself right because he's a very important piece to this bullpen.
  9. Too bad our bats went cold now. 11 straight retired for Lackey. Keep us in it here Herrera.
  10. Marco looks like toast. 65+ pitches after not being stretched out. Edit: Great job getting out of it! He'd better be done though.
  11. Can Marco give us 1 more inning or 2? Not sure how much they'll let him go...
  12. Alright, good inning Marco. Don't care how it happens, 3 up 3 down is always accepted.
  13. Haven't jumped ship at all. In fact, I think we can outslug them somehow. I just can't stand the horrendous ball and strike calling by 50% of the MLB umps. As I type this, Fielder brings us closer.
  14. Now, we get a wide strike call to end it... I think this ump is just really bad.
  15. Facing the best and most patient offense in baseball + A ridiculously tight low strike zone = Not good for the Crew
  16. I'll take a stab: 2-1 @ Boston 2-1 vs TB 2-1 vs Min 1-2 @ NYY 1-2 @ Min 8-7 I really like our pitching matchups in games 1 and 3 vs Boston and I actually think the 1-3 series in Chicago will be a good thing for us going into Boston. We should've gone 2-2 there but then might have gone 1-2 in Boston. Here's to being optimistic!
  17. Actually felt like Ax had some of his best stuff in awhile tonight... just got a little extra jacked up vs Ramirez. He took care of it though. Good to see the bats wake up for a needed win tonight.
  18. I think Saito is the only one RR might bump Loe for (even though that's not logical thinking). That's why it's so crucial he comes back healthy. Once he's back in the swing, hopefully he gets the 8th, with Dillard, Hawkins, Braddock and Loe playing situations in the 6th and 7th.
  19. Loe didn't get any batters out that inning by making great pitches. All balls were hit hard except Campana and he just tries to slap it on the ground anyway.
  20. With any luck, we will still win this game AND RR will start to realize that Kam Loe is not the answer in the 8th inning
  21. Gotta give Rock credit on that one... he was right about that being a pretty good matchup for Yuni. We needed that!
  22. Dillard, nice work. He should see the 7th with Baker, Aramis, Soto due up.
  23. I don't know how else you explain it. I think that's the best way to summarize him this year. He literally cruises for 4-5 innings seemingly every start and then usually gives up 1 huge inning that comes out of nowhere.
