  1. Echoing everyone else: Great game, big to take the first one especially as good as Carpenter was the first 4 innings. Let's show the NL we can beat a tough lhp tomorrow. Guessing we'll see JHJ in CF and maybe Wilson at 2B.
  2. I've always felt that way. He is a very good game manager and plays the matchups very well both ways late in games.
  3. Of course, he could have used Dillard for multiple innings, since he pitches once an eon at the moment. He gets pitched so often, I totally forgot about him. And actually Estrada doesn't throw much any more either, but I guess that's a good problem to have as it means your SP are getting deep pretty consistently.
  4. Well, it worked. I have to give RR some credit, as lately it does seem like his hunches have been working out. Even Counsell getting the start at 3rd yesterday for defense, then he makes that huge play starting the DP on the Myers bunt. Now Hawkins allows him to rest K-Rod and others.
  5. I hope RR realizes that JHJ will be a better option most days than Flip...
  6. That wasn't classy at all Lucroy! You should be ashamed you're such a cheater!
  7. Not trying to pile on, but jeez, he really can't get the ball out of the infield anymore. It's almost like when the owner knows it's time to put down the dog but just can't bring himself to it. edit: spelling
  8. Oh well, sometimes you get breaks... when you play well at home, maybe you get more because the umps suspect you are just that good and must have made the play.
  9. I think Tony wants to see how we cheated there. He looks like he might cry...sad
  10. That was what a lot of us have wanted Zack to do when he falls behind great power hitters. Hopefully it pays off here so he sees it can be ok to walk a guy once in a while in the right situation.
  11. Hard to complain about a 5 run inning, but getting 1 or 2 more there with a runner on 2nd, no outs and your heart coming up would have been really nice. This game is not over.
  12. This is Brewers baseball, Classies! And our ring-leader is the one known as Tony Plush
  13. That was awesome defense but Carpenter staring at his infield is not classy.
  14. Now, that was aggressive baserunning by McGehee. Well done!
  15. If I'm Casey, I take 2 strikes here.... seriously
  16. This is starting to look like the start in Arizona where he gave up 2 early and ended up going 7 strong, without any further runs. Gotta score runs to win.
  17. It's early, but right now I don't think Carpenter is going anywhere unfortunately.
  18. I know Carpenter looks locked in tonight, but man is he making our lineup look poor.
  19. That's a very good play by Plush that doesn't show up in the box score.
  20. Braun had him pegged in the pre-game scouting report boys, "Throws his cutter when he's behind in the count." Please tell everyone Ryan.
  21. I felt the same way. Sometimes I wonder if Corey isn't a little lazy. Maybe it's just me though. And there goes Holliday. Crappy start.
  22. I haven't had butterflies before a Brewers game since late in 2008. It's a pretty cool feeling, although I'm wondering if I should get myself checked out as I'm only sitting on my couch!
