I don't like our chances at any insurance runs today with Braun and Fielder not likely to hit again... need KRod and Axford to be lights out with no hiccups.
I will be at a rooftop for the September 19th game. I'm not going to start looking that far ahead yet, but boy would that be awesome for the timing to work out right! I will also be at the Marlins game in Milwaukee on Saturday Sept. 24th and am hoping that will be a meaningless game!
Horrible and unlistenable come to mind. But I'm not even sure they tell the whole story of how bad he is... Trying to tie Uecker into that bullpen interview? Really Tim, just go away already.
Capuano really looks sharp again. He has kept us off balance both times we've faced him this year. We're going to need to lay off that change-up below the strike zone.
No matter what happens, another great homestand. That being said, I have far from given up on this game. I know the offense hasn't been explosive all week but when you're finding ways to win, you always have hope.
Not sure he'll win it this year given he missed starts early and it's his first year in the NL but Zack Greinke is a Gold Glove caliber pitcher. He makes a lot of very good reaction plays.
Jonathan Mayo reports that the Marlins signed Fernandes for about $2million. He went 14th so that should give us a good idea of where we need to be with Bradley (and Jungmann for that matter).
Agreed. And how good could our bench look when Gomez and Weeks are back? Hairston, Gomez/Morgan, Kotsay, Counsell, Kottaras/Luc It will have gone from a huge weakness to what I would call above average.
+1. I would have preferred K-Rod. I wonder if K-Rod really did get hurt the other night...He pitched since then didn't he?Yeah, the play was on Friday and he pitched Saturday
