  1. Quote from the making of the movie Major League... 3. Dennis Haysbert can hit a baseball pretty far: All of the actors in the film had enough athletic ability to fill the roles of ballplayers, but Haysbert, who played voodoo-worshipping slugger Pedro Cerrano, actually hit a ball out of the park during filming. Sure, it was only 315 feet but there are enough Yuniesky Betancourts in the majors now who could use that kind of power.
  2. Pretty funny show. Wood is pretty good in it plus they talked Brewers and Ryan Braun in it.
  3. Cool, at least they made up their mind.
  4. Any chance he can still play 3rd or is that pretty much over?
  5. What, I never heard of this. I would have been in for $500.
  6. Tyler just texted me about maybe playing but I have a game this Thursday at 8:00 so I could not. Would have been nice, almost like old times. Later
  7. To be fair they have like 17 teams in the division.
  8. And just like that the Brewers have the second largest division lead in baseball.
  9. Also, Billy Ripken played some 2B but I don't know if he ever played with Cal at SS.
  10. I was joking, I know neither Weeks is a SS.
  11. Weakly hit grounder and a nice hit from Mauer, not too worried yet.
  12. Axford with a day of tomorrow. It's ok as a 4 run lead is almost the same as a 3 run lead anyway.
  13. Link to him doing something D-baggish off the playing field? It is his attitude towards other people doing the same things he does that makes him a hypocritical D-bag. I am not going to waste my time looking for one. We all know he has chastized other people for doing things that are unclassy. That's on the field crap. Don't waste your time because he is a solid guy who happens to be playing for a team that is not located closely to where we (most of us) grew up or live.
  14. He just did.No he didn't. He gave 85 good pitches and 17 bad ones. You could that about every pitcher. Unless you are throwing constant shutouts, nobody is then going to give you 110 good pitches.
  15. Good game Narveson. Get Hawkins in for 1 and a third.
  16. I guess I am ok with this but the issue is Thome on the on deck circle. Whew, Braun! Anyway, the pitch count is getting up there.
  17. This game certainly isn't over so I may be jinxing the team but this Twins lineup might be the worst I have ever seen. To be fair I don't watch much AL baseball but I only know one player (Cuddyer) from their lineup. I have heard of Casilla and Repko before (I think).
  18. That was as direct a shot to the crotch as I have ever seen. Wow, "dinged" my butt Bill.
  19. 83 pitches, could get through one more. RR could start warming up Hawkins at the start of the 7th and I would be cool with that.
