  1. According to everything I've read, he did. King just went rogue and got burned. Do you have a link? Also...HOW did he go rogue? Him playing man coverage up on Miller with no safety help over the top isn't on him. You can't always tell what the play call is and who's at fault, but this argument that King went rogue...that only makes sense if he's got a safety over the top. How else could he have gone rogue? And IIRC, they were all pressing.
  2. ? King went to Washington? And Hyde was pretty good? Oops. I thought king was from Iowa. Hyde was average in my eyes. You must be mixing up Desmond King and our King...who was bad today. Kevin King has a lot of talent and if he wants to come back for 3 million, I'm sure we can work something out, but we should be looking to upgrade their either way. Kevin King would probably get 8 million or so AAV in a normal year, but it's not. He wants to come back, you pay him based on what he's done, not his upside...which means he won't be back. I am curious how limited he was in this game due to his back. And if he was, where the hell was Tramon?
  3. MLF lost us THIS game(or at least didn't give us a chance to win it). But to say he only won 3-4 half this year? I don't agree with that one bit. Again, the FG was maybe the worst decision in Packers history, but his offense revitalized this team and Rodgers. This skill group led the league in separation yards per route. That's scheme, not pure talent. I get being frustrated, but I think you're being a little hard on MLF overall. Put this game on him though.
  4. ????? How on Earth are you using THIS as a time to pick on Jackson? They don't give him a chance. He's a talented Corner who Pettine apparently doesn't like(which right there makes me think he's alright) who in VERY limited playing time was in position this year....but he did struggle to get his head around and panicked about. But that'll happen when you don't get regular snaps. Desmond King came out the year before him and has been a multiple-time All-Pro.
  5. Same thing got the Jets DC fired for the one play. There is just too much talent on this defense for them to be so up and down. Todd Bowles just OWNED Mike Pettine. He's a terrible DC. The ONE good thing to come out of this game is that he'll be gone. I know Capers wasn't popular, but when he played man across the field, he AT LEAST sent extra rushers and didn't just man up 5 guys, drop his LB'ers into hook zones(Which covers like 3 yards for them). I don't see how you do worse than Pettine...with the exception of Gregg Williams who I called for earlier this year because I liked his aggressive style, but his arrogance has made that suggestion look foolish.
  6. Idiotic, and I don't care what chart he has that says otherwise. Even if the Packers miss they are counting on a stop and then scoring 8 points. If they make it they are counting on a stop and touchdown, likely going 90 yards in 1:35 with no timeouts. Situationally, it made no sense either, taking those odds against that defense. Atrocious call. Just atrocious. I was shocked to see Crosby come out on the field. If they don't get it there...the Buccs have the ball at their own 8(assuming we gain no yards)...and they're probably less likely to try and throw the ball. I think that was MLF just choking in the big game. His first real big game where he had to make an influential call. That was ridiculous. I don't agree with people on the 2 point, that was fine by me...kicking a FG down 9 with 2:09 to go and giving the ball back to Tom Brady needing to stop him AND still score a TD...that's a historically bad call. In fact...can someone come up with a worse call in Packers history? Literally...I could not believe Crosby was coming onto the field.
  7. No...Queen was AWFUL this year. If you're going to go with the LB'er route, Brooks in Seattle was better than Queen. Like...Queen was literally one of the worst Off-ball LB'ers in the entire NFL. I don't know what he'd have done for us that...Ty Summers couldn't do, much less Barnes, Kirksey or Martin. And even Brooks was worse than our LB'ers this year(though they do offer more upside, none of them would have made us better.
  8. [sarcasm]Maybe Gutey should think about drafting heir apparent to Love with the first?[/sarcasm] I mean...I really don't think THAT mattered. The only guy I think would have REALLY made a difference would have been someone like Shenault Jr. Which...by the way, can we maybe view the role that Ervin plays as important as our 3rd or 4th WR'er? He adds an entirely different dimension to the offense. Gute decided to get the QB they loved. Fine. Rodger will be 38. You've drafted for the future. Do whatever the hell you need to go out and make some improvements to this team. Create the cap space. Go out like the Saints putting all your resources into getting another SB. Find the money to create some cap space, sign Curtis Samuel, draft OT and CB early, let Jones walk(Dillon has convinced me he can do the job)... Upgrade that 2nd CB spot, get younger, more athletic tackles and develop them and Curtis Samuel is a 4.3 guy who's built like an RB but has had success as a WR'er. He can run those jet sweeps and all that pre-snap movement. The 49'ers will be back and we're seeing what Rodgers does when the other team can pressure him. You'll have 10 draft picks...you'll lose your starting RB for sure, but Christ, no excuses this off-season. Every team will be up against it if the Cap stays where it's projected to be(and if it does, then it's going to go way the hell up the following season, so you'll be fine then anyway).
  9. Chiefs. I want to say I want Brady to get a career-ending knee injury slipping on the ice outside...but that's just because I'm petty and emotional right now. The worst part is how people will fawn all over Brady despite throwing 5 or 6 passes up for grabs and being lucky that 3 of them were caught.
  10. Rodgers had 3 chances from the 8, it didn’t go well. Well, one of them he threw out of the back of the endzone under pressure. Fine for 1st down. 2nd, Lazard just didn't look or he scores. Last one was a poor decision. If he scrambles there and fine, he doesn't score, but he gets to the 3-4 yard line, then it's an even MORE obvious decision to go for it. But let's face it, they'd have dropped the 2 point or Rodgers would have held the ball and thrown it up for grabs as he was getting hit or...we weren't winning that game. Now I'm rooting for the Chiefs and I desperately want to see Brady lose.
  11. It's just so much worse when we're the more talented team OR we the other team gives you every opportunity to win the game...and you just...keep...blowing it. Rodgers had his chances. He was in the same situation as Brady was in the Super Bowl and he just could not get a drive going twice in the 4th with a chance to take the lead. That PI was a bad call(bad because they hadn't called it all game...they didn't call it on Murphy-Bunting on the pick at the end of the 1st half) but even if we get that, we've got one TO and we need to go...what, 60 yards at best and get a TD? Rodgers was just as much to blame for this one. Vs the 49'ers or the Falcons you could look ahead and say, "well, they just didn't have enough talent." They had enough talent. And while they LOOK like they should have plenty next year and Tampa could lose Godwin and AB and David and Barrett, you know SF will be back, other teams are going to pop up. This was Rodgers chance to put himself into that next tier. To stop relying on the BEST of all time moniker because Brady's the winner...and he couldn't take it. No matter the three picks he threw. And I get this isn't all on Rodgers. He's probably not in the top 20 to blame, but if you're an All-Time great QB, you have to find a way. Adams has to find a way to catch that TD, Lazard has to find a way to LOOK FOR THE BALL, but...the offense had the ball multiple times with a chance to score and take the lead and they couldn't do it.
  12. I can't believe they throw that flag there.
  13. Yup....guessing that's what they'll do. Little flat route here and they can take a knee.
  14. Yup....guessing that's what they'll do.
  15. Yup. IF we get the ball back, it'll be with ~1 minute left. How are the chances of winning better than going for it right there?
  16. Of course there is...they're playing man and nobody was close. He's at LEAST getting it down inside the 2-3.
  17. Giving up the 1st down would have been preferable there.
  18. Well...Mickens really helped us there.
  19. Just baffling here. You're inside the 10...you need the FG either way...and you kick a FG? Rodgers could have run, LaFleur DEFINITELY should have givin him another shot.
  20. We need two throws out of you 12....or he could have just run that ball in.
  21. Bad time for Lazard to just not be looking for the ball.
  22. How about a TD and 2 point conversion but leaving too much time on the clock for TB12? I'm used to seeing that...it'd be expected.
  23. Right...you can't be worried about giving Brady the ball. You NEED to score as soon as possible. If they tie it up and Brady gets them in scoring position, so be it.
