  1. Absolutely he'd want it. And if you do, too, you'll be able to find it on Ebay the following week. Yeah, no reason to turn down free money. The Chiefs rings were worth roughly 38K. So who's turning down roughly 40 grand? It will be pretty interesting to see if he is on the team next year. We'd save 1.3 million from cutting him...but he's going to be 27 and he is pretty talented. I'd at least give him through camp to see how he fits. Another big, physical WR'er. He seems pretty redundant, but unless we use a high pick on a WR'er, or better yet if we could find a way to bring in someone like Curtis Samuel(a FA), he probably wouldn't be worth bringing back.
  2. The Saints are in ACTUAL cap hell. They'd be in trouble even if the Cap had gone up. The Packers are nowhere near Cap Hell. Even assuming the floor is the cap, they're just fine. ESPN just did a write up about all the playoff teams cap situations. The Packers were in better shape than just about any other team when looking at cap space(most were negative) and Free Agents. That article said the Packers could get under the cap just by converting Bahktiari's roster bonus into a signing bonus, extending Adams, and cutting Kirksey. There's still a lot of other things to figure out, Preston Smith(who is likely gone or restructures) and rookie contracts. The Saints on the other hand are ~100 million over that floor if Brees doesn't come back(which I think is a given at this point). They might have to move Lattimore or Ramcyzk. Either would be almost unfathomable in a normal year. It's going to be a real tough year for veteran FA's and veterans on NFL teams if they don't come to some type of agreement. Could really help teams like the Jaguars and Pats...the two teams that will have a lot of space, either way, turn things around real quick.
  3. Even the game earlier this year where the Bucs trounced GB, it started with the Packers going up 10-0 and they had the ball early in quarter #2. GB was in control of that game until turnovers flared up. Up to that point GB had a good mix of run and pass, with Williams getting a few good runs right at the defense. Then came the pick 6 and 2nd pick that set up the Buccaneers inside the 5, and the game plan seemingly changed instantly with no run balance and even the running plays they tried doing were stretch/toss plays that TB's rangy linebackers snuffed out easily. Lazard wasn't in that game, which is actually more significant from a run game perspective. The oline had a very bad day, which seemed to be made worse after GB got 1 dimensional, too. It was the one game this season where it seemed like Rodgers and the offense reverted to what they did in 2018-2019....pass heavy, at times forcing everything to Adams, and seemingly trying to extend stagnant offensive plays to throw people open. I don't see that being the case a second time on Sunday. You're right about all that. Adams was banged up, we lost Bahk during that game IIRC, Lazard didn't play, King I don't think played, our defense was just a completely different unit at that time. The direction the Buccs D went toward the end of the year vs the Packers D, I feel like we get an edge there. Their skill players playing in the cold should slow them down. AB and Gronk should be better, but neither has been lighting it up. I feel like most Non-Packers fans think the Packers are going to win, but as a Packers fan when we actually have something on the line....it's nerve-wracking and you tend to focus on the negatives. They won't be able to line up in man coverage on Davante and send 5 like they did last time and we'll be more prepared this time for their defense also. And Rodgers isn't going to give them 14 points. In that game, we missed on a big play(MVS drop IIRC) on 2nd and 7 up 10-0 and the next play, pick 6. I get you can't quantify momentum, but it absolutely exists. We had it, we were on our way to going up 3 scores and two passes later the Bucks had a 1st and goal in a 10-7 game. Never got it back.
  4. I'm alright with that. When King's healthy, he's a ball hawk and he has the size and athletic ability to matchup. More concerning to me would be Sullivan in the slot on AB and then whoever is asked to cover their big TE's. Our LB'ers are not capable. Amos has been elite in coverage this year and Savage is coming on, but Gronk's usually good for a few big plays. We DO have the #2 secondary in the NFL...so I should probably be more confident. Brady's gonna give us a couple of chances to come up with some turnovers I think(and hope). Really hope Keke is back and ready to go this week. It looks like both teams are very healthy. Just two major injuries as far as I can tell for either team. Vita for the Buccs and Bahk for us. So no excuses, time to add a big one to Rodgers legacy.
  5. At his own home field, no less . . . . I'll admit...I don't feel good about this game. Better than I did a year ago, but not as good as I'd feel if this was vs NOLA. Brady's not as good as Rodgers, but the guy is just an incredible winner. This is pretty much the last team I wanted to play. How our tackles hold up is going to be an enormous factor in this game. The Packers were really good on their first two series, Rodgers then threw the back to back picks and we couldn't get it back. I guess the Buccs just went and beat a team they'd lost to 38-3 earlier, so probably not a good idea to put too much emphasis on the regular season game.
  6. The problem the first time was we started out with those pitches and plays outside. I think if we can start the game running downhill on them, that might open up some other things. But you're almost certainly not going to be able to get anything going on them East-West if you don't gash them North and South.
  7. And that's in a dome in perfect conditions. I remember watching Favre play in his 30's and thinking he wasn't going to have to retire because of arm strength until he was in his 50's, that wouldn't be the thing that'd force him to retire...same with Rodgers. Definitely not the case with Brees. But now we get Brady and the Buccs. They're sure as hell gonna test our CB's. They've got so many guys who can win vs man coverage...and Alexander can only cover one guy. I think we'll have a few chances to get some takeaways, but we're gonna need the running game to be able to move the ball at least a little bit so it's not all on Rodgers shoulders.
  8. I think his grievances are legitimate, but this isn’t the NBA. You can’t just be done with a team a year after signing a new contract. What a horrible precedent this would set. I don't think it'd set any precedent. Players have demanded to be traded for a long time and either gotten their way or the team hasn't given in and they've stayed and played with their team. It probably makes more sense for the Texans to trade him at this point than move forward with him...if not for the nearly 70 million dollar cap hit. They'd have to decide they were going to totally rebuild, and they'd have to get back a ton to make it worth it. Otherwise, the Texans can just refuse and Watson really has no option.
  9. I don't think that has anything to do with Arians...it's unlikely he has much say in the defense with Bowles there.
  10. I missed most of it, but I did see TWO Tucker FG's from inside of ~45 miss and then I saw Brown who had his man beat by about 10 yards juuuust overthrown in what could have helped the Ravens turn the game around. I like Lamar, but as talented as he is, he's gotta improve his passing outside the numbers. Maybe part of that is his weapons, but this is three straight seasons he's played very badly in the post-season.
  11. I’m happy to be wrong on so may of these predictions. I started this I believe the night the Bucks were eliminated and thought I was being a little overly optimistic. 35 TD's and 5 Picks. Rodgers and this offense exceeded even my most optimistic projections. It's like he's playing a damn video game. It's ridiculous.
  12. The Browns definitely. Feels like the Bills bandwagon has been gaining steam since the end of last year. I'm fairly certain the Browns are going to do what we all expect the Browns to do vs KC. That might even include a couple score lead that they blow.
  13. Agreed with Harvey on this one...but I think he probably does get a ring. He could be a nice addition next year, but he did nothing to help the team this year. Which I don't fault him for, but I did more than he did to help this team by just buying Packers merchandise. So yes would be my guess and no would be my answer.
  14. Well...if that's what it is, it's pretty impressive she still does the games. I get migraines and I can't do anything other than going into a black room and try and sleep. I get sick, puking, and light and noise is just miserable. I got one at a Packers game and it was the most miserable day of my life... I've never had slurred speech, but I know there are very different types.
  15. Especially if it's really nice and cold. Right now the early forecast is 25 with 5-10 MPH winds and maybe a little snow. Though I don't know how accurate they can guess this far out. Hopefully, Keke Kingsley will be ready to go next week. I think we missed him today. Also rooting for the Bills and the Browns...which is getting a bit ahead of things, but fans can do that.
  16. I'm sure they are, but with the way they do their contracts, they're actually in really good position regarding the cap. Not good enough that they can franchise Dak again, but where they could extend him without losing anyone. I can never figure Dallas out. I guess they've just had terrible coaching because they've got a ton of talent on that roster. I wonder if there is any thought to trying to move up from 10 into the top 3-5 to get a QB. Fields or Wilson with those WR'ers and Zeke could be a really dangerous fit. I think it's more likely they just extend Dak and try and fix that defense. The best thing they can do is just fire McCarthy and move on. I used to defend Mikey because I thought he and Clement were responsible for developing Rodgers...but it's really obvious now even if that is true, he's also responsible for holding him back for nearly a decade.
  17. I think you could make arguments either way. The Buccs throw the ball downfield more...which I actually think suits us just fine. They don't have a Kamara type back. But we're also tackling so much better than we had been and the Saints choke in the playoffs and I don't think Brees is much of a threat any longer.
  18. Yeah no complaints here, pretty much the game we expected. Not sure who I want next week but probably doesn't matter. I think I feel better about the Saints. And I'll hope for much colder weather. Cam Jordan doesn't scare me vs THIS OL as much as JPP who can beat you both ways. The Saints do have a ton of talent in that secondary, but...still, I'd rather see them. Either way, it'll be a tough game, but this team should win if they play like they did today minus the two big misses.
  19. I noticed that last week. She is slurring her speech. I hope it's not a cognitive thing. I just goggled Pam Oliver and speech was the first thing that came up. I just listened and it's bad. Honestly...hope it's drinking. That's more curable than other options.
  20. And 39-18 would be a Scorigami. Need Williams to break one here. Now that he didn't, I don't think they run another play.
  21. Yeah, I'd still like us to go all crazed killer and just keep stabbing here! Honestly would’ve gone play action post route again on first down, lol I wouldn't have objected! Imagine coming into the year you lose Bahk at the end of the season and your OL still dominates.
  22. Yeah, I'd still like us to go all crazed killer and just keep stabbing here!
  23. Man...what a waste of the 12th pick!
  24. Jaire...so well rounded. Pay that man...pay that man his money!
