  1. Yes it was, and stupid play by a veteran. It was 5 yards out of bounds and Williams is giving him a little extra toss. Had he taken his hands off him, fine, but they were past the white and Williams was still making contact. Dam, that looked like a pick to me. Savage in the area again.
  2. Yeah, after watching the replay, that was absolutely nothing. Just a blown TO. Blame it on the coach who was screaming right in front of the play. Of course, the more convinced I am I know what the refs will call, the more wrong I am.
  3. I have less than zero confidence they overturn this play. NONE.
  4. Time for the D to come up with that turnover old school was calling for.
  5. Another promising drive ended due to penalties. I get it, first time playing a full game and you have this D coming at you all game. But they've had chances to put this one away several times now. Also...very happy I bet the under on this one.
  6. Really? After the 3 late game roughing penalties last year where the opposing QB's caught too strong of a breath and that's not a roughing there?
  7. No, that's why the stretch was effective. Big cutback lanes with the Bears over-pursuing a bit.
  8. 2 nice runs, now that opens things up a bit.
  9. A good idea would be to not run right at Hicks and Mack and maybe to Floyds side?
  10. Lot of Packers have played well, but Alexander has locked guys down. Huge play here...
  11. Yeah, he probably is, but it's certainly not because he gave up that big play to Robinson. There's a reason the Packers and Bears both offered him 40+ million coming off a torn ACL. Brown's also a young, raw UDFA.
  12. He is so allergic to possibly throwing an interception that he constantly eats it. It's infuriating. And it's only gotten worse as he's gotten older. Yeah, but we don't see what he's seeing. You've got 3 seconds with this Bears rush and I'm yelling the same thing, but the way this game is going, you don't want him to just throw it up and give the Bears a score on defense.
  13. That's kinda my point, I just didn't make it very well. Hicks, Goldman, Floyd and obviously Mack are as good of a front as you can get. Not many other fronts can force those types of penalties/breakdowns.
  14. Not many series are ruined by a Linsley hold and then a sack given up by our All Pro LT. Blew a chance to make it a 7 point game at least. They really need to stop on their throats here.
  15. Not that it's all that relevant, but you gotta read up on the Ray Lewis situation a bit closer. Lewis pretty clearly did not murder anyone. He lied and obstructed justice...but he definitely didn't "murder" anyone. Right, and I always throw my suit in the dumpster when I don’t murder anyone (sarcasm). JK, I’ll take your word for it. I just found his inclusion an odd choice, given the cloud that surrounds him. Yeah, that's the obstruction. I do not like Lewis' holier than thou crap and the speeches, but like I said, just dig deeper, he didn't kill anyone. But your point taken.
  16. Kenny Clark is a monster. And just 23. Jimmy Graham forcing Roquan into giving up a BIG penalty!
  17. Clark has been dominant and the whole defense is playing fast and aggressive like you said. I don't believe this is a mirage...I think they have a chance to continue to improve. Having King healthy would be key...he's really playing well. He and Alexander could really make a difference if he can stay on the field.

  19. That name still doesn't sound familar. I'll take your word for it, I just remember cutting Ryan. Ryan had a really up and down year the previous year, but that year took off with Seattle and as you said, was a fixture the next 10 years. And Ryan was physical. Frost was so bad he didn't make it through the year. They cut him in December and used Kapinos the rest of that season. It was 2008, Rodgers' first year as a starter. I remember the situation, particularly because of how bad of a decision that ended up being.
  20. My only concern was(still is) that first half of the season. You know the offense will be sluggish to start the season. They have been before when it wasn't a new offense. At Chi vs Minn vs Den(not a good team, but elite edge rushers in Miller and Chubbs) vs Philly At Dallas-Another really good defense with those young LB'ers Vs Det Vs Oak At KC At LA Chargers-Really underrated D The schedule gets much-much easier after that. So just win 4 or 5 of their first 9 and 11 wins is definitely attainable. The Bears schedule is even tougher with the Saints and the Rams on it. So this second half is huge to start the season.
  21. That would have been really stupid to go for it there. Give the Bears the ball at mid-field with 55 seconds and 2 TO's in a defensive game. I like them being aggressive, but get into the half with the D feeling well.

  23. Yes, confident, decisive. The scouting report said an Earl Thomas-type player and he was one of the guys moving up the draft boards very quickly. Now we see why.
  24. Ok, like I said, it looked to me like it was a crowd, but I didn't go back and watch it and I HAVE said he needs to be more aggressive. That he is...probably the best we've had since Craig Hentrich. Wolf calls letting him go his biggest mistake. Though to be fair, I believe he's said that about a few things.
  25. It wasn't great, but that was what we were saying about this receiving core, right? Rodgers needs to throw the ball UP a bit more. I'm still not a fan of the TD throw, but I do like him being a bit more aggressive. Why, the TD throw was a catch or incomplete pass...much like the huge throw to MVS. There wasn’t much risk for an interception on either when the defender is behind the receiver. Worst case the DB gets in there and deflects it away. Well...I wanted him to be more aggressive. I don't think it was either a TD or incomplete. I thought it could have been a pick if the Bears DB got his head around. But hard to complain about a TD or throwing it UP to a 6'7 TE who has been an All Pro.
