  1. ya gotta Isn't that a boat race?
  2. Question: did the 79 loss World Series champion St. Louis Cardinals have killer instinct Yes, absolutely. They all have rings to prove it. What bugs some people I think is the suggestion that anyone is less of a fan if they accept a loss and dont start throwing office furniture when the team doesn't sweep. I would hope your not suggesting I am throwing things around, because I am not that hyper. A loss is a loss, i'm over it. So it's possible to be in the playoffs, but not be in World Series contention, because you don't have killer instinct? Can you not make the playoffs and still have killer instinct? Are there different levels of killer instinct? Of course there are different levels. Like the level my nephew has is cute. He is 8, but thinks he can take anyone down. He gets taken down, but gets back up and keeps at it. Rather than cry and get all snippity and bitter, he keeps coming back at you. Of course he can't win the WS, he's only 8! But he sure has that Killer Instinct.
  3. the 116 - 46 Mariners had no killer instinct because they lost in the playoffs. I was thinking about that team too. It was either an anomoly, or killer instinct is mysterious and bogus. Could be both, in which case my last 5 or so posts were nothing more than frustration-laced drabble. Maybe not. I'll play it like Ned yesterday. When asked if this series is bigger because its against the Cubs he replied, "No... well yes, i'm not gonna say no." Classic.
  4. So reading this any team that doesn't go 162-0 doesn't have it. You need not only "expect it," you've got to get it. I like it! Although I don't think a team has gone 162-0, correct me if i'm wrong. And I would put killer instict together with WS contention, not a win total. I simply said 85-90 wins was not enough for me, killer instinct aside and not included in that comment.
  5. weeks has the killer instinct Or is it instinct killer http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  6. I'll take 85-90 wins at any interval the team chooses. Sorry, I need more than that.
  7. Killer instict is not mysterious. It simply means you expect to win, day in and day out. Expect it and get it.
  8. Sometimes you are just not going to win. I completely agree. However it was right there. The statement a 3 game sweep, on the road, against the division favorite would have been huge. And now it is nearly reduced to, well at least we took 2 of 3 and that aint bad. Of course its not bad, but its not nearly as nice as the sweep would have been. That is why i am not bringing the roses today. Other days sure, June - July, take all the 2 of 3s you like. But just this week a sweep of the Cubs would have been nice.
  9. If the Brewers win 2 out of every 3, I'm pretty sure they'll make the playoffs (even without killer instinct). That doesn't seem realistic. Sweeping the Cubs today seemed realistic until just recently. And if they would miraculously win 2 out of every 3 games, i believe they would have developed killer instinct.
  10. Are you saying Jesus can't hit a curve ball. awesome. best baseball movie ever.
  11. Could it be the same people saying at least we took 2 of 3 are the same ones that said at least we had a winning record last year? Its called killer instinct, and the team that has it will be playing in October. Its never too early to get a sweep, nor to expect it if you want to see a dominant, winning ballclub. Just let the sky fall on this game and bring the rosiness tomorrow, K.
  12. Nothing says, "i'm waiving the white flag," like bringing in Sleuth McClog. Barf. Better show up tomorrow crew, or i'm throwing up in your house!!
  13. Unwinable. Don't think its a word, but its how i feel about this one.
  14. I have trouble getting too worked up for an April 3rd game, I guess. True, but its the Cubs. I want the Brewers to beat them by 10 runs in spring training. And now they count, so I don't care when its being played.
  15. Dempster has them all fooled. Working his pitches rather nicely and locating everything. If DB wouldnt have walked 4 of the 5 he did today, this game wouldnt seem so unwinnable right now.
  16. I think i can safely say for the first time this year, and gladly, no more Bush!! Fielder needs a rib-eye. He should have hit up Fogo De Chao last night. Ish.
  17. Whoops, did someone say perfect?
  18. I like over 9 again. And I like the Brewers being dogs again. I'd like a sweep more than anything that's going to happen today. If Bush gives 6 innings, I like the chances of another Brewers win.
  19. C'mon crew, keep on keeping me out of the vent thread. 162-0!!
  20. Hope not, he was taken to task pretty badly Monday. Is it gametime yet? I already can't get enough.
  21. Strap in, its a long way from being over.
  22. AWESOME-O!! I love Corey running wild!!
  23. I have a feeling there are going to be a couple more bombs today.
