  1. I'm sorry, but what I meant was that Gross has never been this hot (.423/.448/.962/1.410), ever.
  2. Gross has never been this hot, ever.
  3. Cartmenez rules. Kapler should get the rest of the starts until Cameron returns. Unfotunately, the bad Gabe will still get the nod.
  4. I blame Gabe Gross batting second, playing CF... Brewers with Gross in the starting lineup: 31 for 158 (.196) - 5 games Brewers without Gross in the lineup: 55 for 181 (.303) - 5 games And for those who argue small samples, Ned Yost has used much smaller samples to base his decisions on. Gabe Gross is the kryptonite to the Brewers lineup. Free Gabe Kapler!!
  5. I'm going to avoid making fun of the Mets' starting pitching woes for now. They beat the Brewers with Brian Lawrence last year in the infamous dugout argument game...their fifth starters always seem to give the Brewers trouble. I wasn't trying to make fun of the Met's SPing. What I meant, more or less, was this is a game the Brewers have to get if they are going to be serious about winning anything this year. Losing to Lawrence last year was horrible, and my expectations are higher this year. If the bats show up like they did the last two games, and end up getting embarrassed by Nelson Figueroa, I may need to re-evaluate my expectations for this season.
  6. Nelson Figueroa? If the Brewers don't win this one, or worse yet end up looking as bad as they have for the last two games, I may need to take some time off until my next ticket rolls around on 5/10. Nelson Figueroa?
  7. Exactly how I feel about the guy. He's easily aggitated. The anti-cool.
  8. It was only three days and one series, but SI may be onto something. I will be very surprised (pleasantly of course) if the Brewers come back to Milwaukee better than 9-9.
  9. This is funny. If that is the case Villy should be out of the lineup. Two hits and 70 pitches and he should of been out. Now this is complete nonsense. Even if they were 2 hits to lead off the inning, and the second one was a bomb? Not completely nonsense to get him out of there after that. Ned was going on pitch count alone, simple as that. The Reds figured out CV, but Ned did not figure out the Reds figured it out until three hits and a run later. BOOOO!!!! Semi-Yosted!!
  10. It's about time Kendall got a hit, geez!
  11. Dusty Baker <= Ned Yost. I feel comfortable writing that equation.
  12. Good job CV. See, no walk = no run that inning.
  13. Walks are never good. I fear this inning, and Paul Bako.
  14. let's keep swinging at the first pitch. What is Harang's current pitch count? 37 for AH. 43 for CV.
  15. These two teams are trying to set records... quickest game ever and fewest pitches thrown in a 9 inning game.
  16. Good to see Prince is taking advantage of having a masher protect him in the lineup. At least his chances of attracting mad cow is almost 0%.
  17. Fly ball to deep center that (almost?) hit the base of the wall; ball hit over the wall that Gross wasn't able to bring back into the park... what was the 3rd one? I thought those two plays were difficult, so I wasn't surprised that he didn't make them... since he's not an above average CFer. I watched this play a few times with dvr assistance, and I came to the conclusion that Gross knocked the ball over the wall. It would not have cleared the fence without the assistance of Gross and his glove. I am going to go ahead and say Gross is a useless bum. Now, you know what to do with that comment today Gabe.
  18. Why is everyone named Bush a failure? I almost agree, but if a Bush gets paid a ton of money to stink, does one still constitute that a failure? Good thing the Crew had the day off yesterday. They should be well rested for the noon game today. Go get'em CV!
  19. Oh and I almost forgot, note to fans: STOP THE WAVE!!! It's dumb, and more often than not leads to an opponents rally.
  20. Prince Fielder is hitting like Tony Gwynn Jr., and looks lost at the plate. I will add: Prince's new look is horrible - nappy little dreads and high socks? Last night Braun looked like he never played in the outfield before, ever. Gross is really, really bad. Turnbow's Dr. Jekyll MO is walk followed by home run (assist goes to Gross last night). I am instantly angry everytime the camera gets a shot of Ned in the dugout. Good news: atonement can be achieved this afternoon.
  21. I thought Dave Bush had an option left. If that is the case, Bush to Nashville. Cameron replaces Gross, who is released in a merciful act to the fans of baseball.
  22. On an unrelated note, after watching Yost's post-game interview... the guy scares me. He seems really on edge even after we win a game easily. Must be all the coffee. Listening to interviews of Ned is always painful for me. I usually turn the dial.
  23. Attended all three games and LOVED THEM ALL. KILLER INSTINCT!! Ben Sheets will win the Cy Young if he doesn't miss a start, book it. Then he's gone, book that too. Granted it was the Giants, which I believe to easily be the worst team in baseball, but its still nice to beat the teams they're supposed to beat. Stay hot against the Reds Crew!!
  24. No, they have rings to prove they won the World Series. And you have to have killer instict to win the World Series, pay attention http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
