  1. Its almost as if the ump blinked and missed the play. He had to guess one way or another and chose poorly. One of the worst calls ever indeed.
  2. I think I would rather deal with FSN than listen to ESPN's announcers act like they care about the Brewers. They'll find some way to talk about the Red Sox for 3 hours. I wish this was true for me, but Bill and Brian are so painful to listen to. I have been muting and tuning into TMJ. The sync has been spot on lately.
  3. That was an exaggeration, obviously. Actually though, the Brewers only have 51 walks as a team, and Gross has 10. That's nearly 20% of the team's walk total, and Gross only has 43 AB's. Now its obvious. Also, 57 team walks - just to stat nit pick http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  4. It's April 22nd, and we're using "finally" already? Jeez. 10% in, maybe I used the word 'finally' a little hastily there. How about... Of course he gets traded when he very recently heated up.
  5. Gross is gone, and he's taking about half of the team's walks with him. Do the Brewers really only have 20 walks as a team? Weird.
  6. Of course he gets traded when he finally starts heating up. One down, one to turnbow.
  7. Riske is looking bad, real bad.
  8. Dave Bush vs. Cole Hamels tomorrow, God save the Brewers and the bullpen.
  9. Gabe Gross having a game, its nice to see him turning it around and now over the mendoza line.
  10. Good job by McChucker again, weird. Please Brewers, for the love of God and my productivity, win this freaky game!!!
  11. Or a person buying and spilling beer. It's almost as if the producers want to get artistic. ITS BASEBALL, SHOW THE GAME!!!
  12. Ned doesn't like rules, unless he makes them.
  13. How can the Brewers not know this by now? If Turnbow could throw his offspeed for a strike, he could throw just that pitch and mow down the side for the rest of the year. He just can't throw it for a strike very often. Batters are sitting dead red on him, and this is why he gets lit up so often. Its not going to change, he just doesn't have command of his out pitch.
  14. Last night was horrible. It was if an 8 year old was directing. I don't see how anyone could do much worse. It would be better if they just stayed on the one camera angle shooting pitches. How can a director go from the camera pacing a fly ball to center to a shot of the runner rounding third before the ball is caught/hits the ground? With two outs no less!!! Where do they hire these people from? And how much does the job pay? Competition seems to be lacking in the talent pool.
  15. I wouldn't. Personally, I think he needs an entire day off. As for yesterday... if Ned was going to bring Gagne in with the lead, why wouldn't he bring him in for the 9th with the score tied? That seems to be a closer role/situation for most managers (as opposed to bringing in your worst available reliever).
  16. I agree Rickie is not doing much, if anything with the good pitches. I didn't think that was the point of the original post, which I took to be Rickie as a leadoff hitter. Rickie is not, and never has been a leadoff hitter. Not until he ran into Ned Yost that is.
  17. How about saying nothing?!?! It works, and it doesn't backfire. Ned just likes to talk, so then we end up with his worst case scenario, which is borderline useless.
  18. I was in awe seeing Gagne was going to be brought in if the Brewers gained the lead. Ned, if 4 days in a row was your bad, how can you justify 5 days in a row? Just when I think it couldn't get any worse... the mid-June axe couldn't come soon enough.
  19. how in the world can this be pinned on Ned? Who crafts the lineup? Ned. Rickie is falling way short of even my modest expectations. He needs to stop playing the HR Derby game (as does everyone) and start hitting the ball in all directions. Pulling everything is not the way to snap a slump. I would like to see Hart leading off. Just my two cents.
  20. Decent retort, but I reply with this... How does Ned know what the worst case scenario is with Sheets' latest injury? He is setting himself up again. If the injury is more serious then he thinks it is, all of a sudden the worst case is the best case and he looks dumb, again.
  21. The question about whether Ned gets the credit is a good one. Personally, every time I listen to an interview, or read some quotes in the paper, he sounds or reads like the opposite of intelligent. It is hard to give the opposite of intelligent credit for anything, other than dumb luck.
  22. If this is the worst, then it only proves Ned hasn't been paying attention the last 4 years.
  23. I would be very surprised if Sheets is not on the DL by the end of the month. Since when has any of Sheets many problems ever gone away? They always escalate.
