the way rowdy has hit lefties and played good defense I think we can at least split time at 1b against lefties. It’s costing us quite a bit

They have had 8 base runners (5 hits, 3 walks) through the first 11 outs so far, it seems like it’s been some bad luck sequences more than sucking. Yep. And now 3 runs in 4 innings. 6 hits and 3 walks. Today’s not the day to bark about sucking against anyone. Three runs is a good start. We have guys that hit left handed pitching extremely well, especially the junk ballers We’ve seen lately. I’ll bark until they consistently beat up these guys-teams have been throwing out lefties against specifically because of our troubles. It’s well known.

eventually, they have to hit a recently promoted or crappy lefty. They have a good lineup for it. let it finally be today.

This one is definitely not over with our lineup and their love for the dramatic, but I would definitely piggyback Ashby with woodruff for a few starts. for some reason I thought n 2019 he had a ton more innings, the exhaustion narrative may hold some truth in it. Heck, with a likely 9.5 lead give him a turn off and then build up.

I sure hope we stop with the 6-7 days of rest between starts in September. Needless to say it would not be ideal having a 5 man rotation in the playoffs…
