  1. That’s annoying. as an umpire it’s driving me nuts.
  2. Is Martinez not balking every pitch? Have I missed something with a rule change? He literal does not come set and is deceptive towards the hitter every pitch
  3. After the last few years, I couldn’t have dreamed this would be possible. This is also with chourio, weimer and Mitchell being injured/ doing very little. there will be regression from certain players going forward but that will be offset by others getting hot.
  4. sorry if I’m late to the season (I coached 3 little league teams) but has there been talk from management about sending chourio down at all? Looks like he’s hit a brutal stretch
  5. Is this why he wasn’t traded? Unless we sign snell, holding onto him made little sense
  6. Probably showing the team all the breaking balls off the outside corner he used to swing at. I have to imagine that would take 2-3 weeks
  7. this team in 2025 keeps looking better and better. Get the young guys all the experience they need this year!
  8. I’ve advocated for including williams With burnes to Baltimore for some time. It would solve all of Baltimore’s needs and the brewers getting multiple (talent wise) future all stars. If im the orioles ownership I’m jumping all over it. They have been rebuilding for so long in a big market
  9. I think there’s definitely a scenario where we deal Williams, burnes, adames and unload yelich onto some one. Then we have to bulk up payroll to save face and give hader a 1/35 million dollar payday to trade him again at the break. This scenario only exists in my head, but does that not make it real? 😅
  10. Another brewers ace ending his brewers career with injury and providing the franchise no future value with draft picks or minor league talent. we really have to start adopting the rays model of trading these guys at their most valuable.
  11. Burnes, houser and Williams to Baltimore for Rodriguez and multiple top prospects not named Holliday. One of those OF prospects to CHWS for Jimenez. Adames to anyone for mid level prospects. Stock the minor leagues and get ready for 2025!! C: William Contreras ($0.77M) 1B: Carlos Santana ($8.00M) 2B: Tyler black ($0.77M) 3B: Andruw Monasterio ($0.77M) SS: Bryce turang ($0.77M) LF: Christian Yelich ($26.00M) CF: Sal frelick ($0.77M) RF: Jackson chourio ($0.77M) DH: Eloy Jimenez ($13.00M) Bench OF: Garrett Mitchell ($0.77M) Utility: Abraham Toro ($1.30M) Utility: Joey weimer ($0.77M) Backup C: Jeferson quero ($0.77M) SP1: Lucas Giolito ($14.00M) SP2: Freddy Peralta ($5.50M) SP3: Aaron Ashby ($1.25M) SP4: Robert gasser ($0.77M) SP5: Grayson Rodriguez ($0.77M) CL: Brandon woodruff ($5.0M) RP: Abner Uribe ($0.77M) RP: Hoby Milner ($1.70M) RP: Bryse Wilson ($1.30M) RP: Joel Payamps ($1.70M) RP: Trevor Megill ($0.77M) RP: Elvis Peguero ($0.77M) RP: Colin rea ($3.50M) Payroll is 33.55% under budget
  12. I like the idea of an extension and would add options that kick in for 2026&2027 based upon 2025 innings pitched. There is a way this situation can lead to a much higher ceiling team in 2025 and beyond if you are now prompted to deal Williams, burnes and adames. Small payrolls mean you have to take risks on aces like this. If everything falls apart in 2025 that 20 million will have plenty of room in a rebuild.
  13. Well I ignored the playoffs for the most part and I’m glad I did. Being swept by a team that is built for 2025? Lol. five straight years of wondering why we lose with zero offense. This is the definition of ownership being ok with “just good enough”
  14. Anderson must have insulted counsell the same way hiura has.
  15. Are they allowing Anderson to drink in the dugout if he isn’t allowed To play?
  16. Too bad the crew couldn’t get another run yesterday-clinching at the cardinals would feel good
  17. The cubs seem to have been handed a miracle this year with almost everything breaking right on their own team and the continued inability of the brewers to find an acceptable offense. As others have stated, it really won’t matter in the playoffs as we had little to no shot (especially with mediocre burnes). oh well, at least we can hopefully watch the Phillies make enough errors and just maybe Justin Steele isn’t the best pitcher ever come the postseason.
  18. I think they checked the “we did something” boxes and I honestly question whether management believes we can get into the playoffs, much less win a series. It’s getting really difficult to understand the direction of this franchise as we go from a no hit, all pitch team to (soon) an all hit, no pitch team.
  19. They’d ask for gasser but I’d counter with Mitchell. Oft injured proven player for an oft injured high ceiling as the centerpiece. You could then add lauer, Henry and maybe hiura to free him from purgatory. Eloy should be our top target.
  20. He might want to eliminate the 18 inch step into his swinging motion like adames. whoever teaches that crap needs to go
  21. If the Yankees end up with him having an awful farm system we could match it and barely feel it. some of the farm systems rankings I’ve seen are absolutely ridiculous. The brewers have dropped 10-15 spots while acquiring more high end talent and seeing many players improve. That said, those expecting ohtani to go for 2 top 50 prospects and three near top 100 are going way overboard. I could see frelick, black, small and Lara getting it done. The angels will do one headliner and quantity because their system really does suck.
  22. GMs are getting much more realistic minor league talent for veterans when compared to 10+ years ago where an Alonso would bet you three future all stars. Frelick for Goldy straight up is a slight overpay but something I would do.
  23. We’re saving the overwhelming package of lindbloom and severino for soto, bell and their first round picks for the next ten years ?
  24. We’re saving the overwhelming package of lindbloom and severino for soto, bell and their first round picks for the next ten years ?
  25. How bout we add Brantley and push Yelich to the three hole? Then he’ll “deserve” the mvp once he has rbis
