  1. You know, I'm getting really tired of the "old guard" posting to tell us how much the forum sucks right now. It's a little hypocritical to complain about how negative everybody is supposedly being, when the only posts you are making are themselves complaints. Two years ago, the team won 96 games. This year, the team is 9 games below .500. Are you really expecting everybody to be dancing in the isles? Nobody is breaking any rules, and there is a lot of intelligent discussion and analysis going on. Maybe you're just not looking hard enough. Perhaps if you added something constructive to the discussions, they'd improve. As to the general attitude of the forum, when the team started out 2-8, I started a thread to try and bring some humor to the forum, and lift some spirits. 90% of the posters completely missed the intent of the discussion.
  2. He threw harder on average last year than he has this year. Really? Hmm. Maybe he's just doing a better job locating his pitches then. He's been lights out thus far. 9 for 9 in save opportunities, and 26 K's in 19 IP, and a nifty 26:5 K:BB ratio. My fantasy team thanks him.
  3. Jeff has put three two hit games up in a row. If anything, he should continue to get more playing time. Ride the hot hand, and hope that when he's ready to take the field again, Rickie starts to break out of his slump. If anything, Bianchi gives us a nice option off the bench. When Corey comes back, we can dump Gonzalez.
  4. Hendo is going after hitters. I like it!!! Hello, win column!!!!! Let's start a winning streak tomorrow night!
  5. There's quite a bit of analysis going on. As to the game threads, I'm not sure what you're expecting when the team is 3-15 for the month. A lot of people trying to remain positive, but a lot of frustration mixed in.
  6. I don't remember Henderson having this kind of velocity last season. Low 90s if I recall. He's consistently 95 + tonight.
  7. "Very exciting, Sophia". Oh Brian, you kill me. Exciting twitter poll. Lulz.
  8. There's no pressure tonight. We have a 3 run lead, and we're 9 games under .500. So, of course he looks good. Three games in a row he's looked like the Ax of old. But wait until there's a high leverage situation, where the game's on the line. RRR will put him in, and he'll blow it.
  9. In his last three games, all starting at second, Bianchi has gone 2-5 with 2 RBI, 2-4 with a RBI, and 2 for 3 tonight. 6 hits. Rickie Weeks with 6 hits in his last 17 games. Tell me again how Weeks needs to be starting?
  10. Remember when we were 14-11 to start the month of May? Wasn't that great?
  11. Burgos only made it 3 1/3 innings? 88 pitches, of which only 49 were strikes. You can't tell me we don't need a new pitching coach. We have to be the most inefficient staff in the Majors. I wonder if anybody has compiled number of pitches thrown by starter, and how many innings they've finished.
  12. Joe Morgan had prolonged success in the past, too. Should we sign him and put him in there? What a player did in the past is irrelevant. Players change over time. Weeks is no longer the player he was even two years ago. He is bigger, less agile, and a far less effective hitter. He has lost his power. He is striking out an an alarming rate, and he is slacking in the field. Bianchi is "just a guy", but in 14 at bats, he's got 3 RBI, which is 2 more than Weeks has in 55 at bats. And he's a defensive improvement over Weeks. Rickie being pretty much untouchable is absurd. Sit him, and give somebody else a shot. Bianchi cannot be any worse than Weeks, and he might just represent an improvement. Rickie is not even playing at a Major League level.
  13. 3 wins, 15 losses in May. How much longer does this clown Ron Roenicke get to keep his job??????? Three hits, two by Braun. This is pathetic. This might be the worst I have ever seen a Brewer team play, and that's saying something.
  14. Part of being an ace is going deep into games. Efficiency helps with that. Kershaw is likely in the ninth inning, and has thrown 97 pitches. Gallardo threw 105 pitches in six innings.
  15. I'm watching CNN right now. My heart's just breaking. These poor people in Oklahoma. There's nothing left of Moore. The entire city's just gone.
