    The game thread is everything I expected and more. Being a fan of the team with the best record in baseball is exhausting and frustrating for some.

    It’s baseball, every player slumps. The game threads are littered with bench so and so. It’s just some posters dramatic overreaction. I did notice one thing, Chourio closed his stance ever so slightly last night. It looked more similar to previous years. This will hopefully allow him to go to opposite field more and not roll over as much as he has been.

    Yes you are correct. If the top of the order doesn’t hit the Brewers will lose games. With how bad the offense is, I’m shocked they are competing for the best record in baseball. It’s almost like they are a really good team with a good lineup that scores runs better than most teams in the league.

    You said this last year as well. Brewers suck, Cubs will catch them. I’m sure tonight they will try harder to do their jobs.

    More consistent and more clutch? Brewers have the 3rd highest OPS with runners in scoring position. The Brewers are 5th in runs scored from 7th inning on. It’s pretty clear that you have no reasonable definition for consistent or clutch or what team you think has these factors. You basically want them to hit more home runs. The Brewers do other things to offset the lack of power. I agree. Let’s go find more 850-900 OPS players that hit 25-35 home runs, play great defense, run the bases well, and is available for the Brewers. And is also clutch. Fire away with your ideas!

    You’re literally only describing the Dodgers pitching staff. They are full of aces. No other team can match that talent. Every team is an underdog against the Dodgers in the postseason with that roster.

    So your definition includes the ability to hit three run bombs to be able to get to 5 runs on a more consistent basis? If so, then obviously the Brewers will not achieve that. They are built to win in a different way. You want the same same defense, same pitching, same base running, same (or better) offensive stats, but do it more with home runs than how they currently do it. I’m thinking that team you define does not exist. The Brewers score 5 plus runs more often than the Dodgers.

    What part of the game made it easy for you to see they were not going to win? What was your original prediction of the Brewers season win loss record?

    Very true. I posted a couple of times that I just don’t think fans watch other teams consistently enough to realize how good the Brewers actually are. They basically score the same amount of 1,2,3,4,5 plus runs in individual games as the Dodgers. Some fans love their eye test and it doesn’t matter what numbers are presented to them. The question was already asked to the OP what his definition of consistent is and what team he believes is his definition of that. Interested to see his definition and data.

    It’s baseball. Anything can happen game to game. Brewers are 3-1 against Colorado this year. Dodgers are 7-3.

    I’m watching. Kind of fun seeing some of these players. That’s really all we had to cheer for was individual. The teams were usually pretty bad.

    Our position depth is insane. Chourio, Made, Pena, Josh Adam, Josiah, Knoth, Frias, Moneys are basically my untouchable players.

    I’m to the point I don’t want to make any trades. I love our philosophy and watching meaningful baseball every year is fantastic. Trading for Mason Miller who will pitch 2-3 times per week just doesn’t move the needle against the Dodgers.

    Yup, completely agree. A lot of posters talk about our pitching depth, trade a controllable starter for a rental starter reduces depth. If we had arms waiting in AA and AAA I would be ok with it.

    I actually like Drohan more than Gasser, Henderson, and Sproat. I would prefer hanging onto all our starters. Who in the minors is close to being a solid starter?

    That is very true. The talent has gotten so much better over the last few years.

    This team finds a way to win. Never going to have the overall talent of the highest spending teams. Love how mentally tough they are. I agree, secure the two seed and let the chips fall in the playoffs.

    Nobody is taking rights away about posting. Not sure what you are saying. Because a few posts get called out for being negative isn’t a big issue. You can always block my differing views.
