In recent years the DSL has turned into the Brewers' lifeblood, most recently with the wave of Lara/Made/Pena. Now we are seeing some of the newer guys getting buzz (Frias, Martinez, Matos) but dont really have the same background evaluation as the draftees. To the board gurus, how would you rank, say as a draft pick round, the top 6-7 prospects coming out of the DSL, starting with Frias/Martinez and working down to the DSL?

a .500 record vs an average schedule for a team that had the best record in baseball for over a year now is certainly a prediction

Henderson’s underlying numbers are on par with skubal this year, which is my point, so it’s not the massive team upgrade we should be looking for And both have health questions. I’ve already said I want skubal, but makes little sense to trade for our away from our bigggest weakness (long term playoff-capable starting pitching), when we’ve accumulated such quality upper minor depth elsewhere. Unless maybe a multi team deal can be made.

Adamczewski has been in the spotlight and exceeding expectations but I wonder how the org views him vs Ragsdale. Similar numbers this year. Ragsdale is 1.5 older, less service time used. A little less plate discipline but maybe more speed. Both bat lefty.

Skubal's numbers this year arent necessarily going to outperform Henderson's, so I'm not sure the Brewers would make move for a pricier player with no more future control and similar risk & results this year. Not sure it moves the needle enough to be worthwhile, unlike simply adding Skubal and pushing a starter to the pen and reliever out. Maybe Drohan.. but we really should be dealing from our minor league positional depth. If we swap pitchers, then I'd also like to see a younger arm for a younger bat

IGT is actually a really positive experience. Just need the brewers to be up by about 7 runs

Getting more nervous about this Rule 5. Brewers have more of a spotlight on their upper minors and nowhere to stash a bunch of guys. I think we need to move or lose some of these guys. Luke Adams, Jett Williams, Kuehner, Wichrowski, Wilken, Boeve, Wagoner, O'Rae, Wood, even Castillo.. a number of interesting prospects. On the flipside, maybe our staff can identify a pitching prospect worth a look.

Zero chance of Adamczewski for Peralta. Not even close. Brewers seem to like package pitching deals like getting Harrison & Drohan. For all of our pitching successes, the org really lacks top tier pitching relative to hitting. Wouldn’t be surprised to see a multi pitcher deal that helps restock the farm. Adamczewski could be an All-star and deserves a healthy return.

Awesome, still leaves room to work with. Side note: appreciate bf but kind of annoyed with the BF signing “tracker” feature this year. Reports have been out for a week now of signings that aren’t being reflected. What are the signing gaps right now?

I have low expectations today. Seems every time we get within striking distance of the Dodgers, we struggle the next few games.
