  1. One of the only teams if not the only team. Even the A's have Diamond Level seating behind home plate. The Brewers really are a relic that lets the fans have the run of pretty much the whole ballpark, for at least the first hour they're open anyway. You have to think that an actual premium seating area behind home with more comfortable wider and padded seats, a dedicated entrance and exit, f&b package, etc is tops on the list and something a lot of people would pay decent money for. With actual security checking people's tickets, not an 85 year old disinterested usher who lets me into the Club level now with a screenshot of my friend's ticket.
  2. Somewhere the long forgotten Happy Youngster is eating a doughnut in his patrol car and smiling at the actions of his protege.
  3. From the physical act of parking standpoint It really wasn't an inconvenience. From the paying/activating standpoint yeah it was probably an irritation for some. My party had prepaid and when it was apparent the system wasn't working we went in the stadium. If I was someone who tried to pay day of and it was apparent the system wasn't working I'd have been happy that I got to park my car for free. This wasn't the gigantic chaotic cluster f that some people who weren't there are making it out to be.
  4. It's all done by license plate recognition camera technology. I'm sure there's an algorithm that knows all the different plate variations from every state.
  5. There are no lines to pile up though because whether the pay system is working or not there are still no employees collecting cash, swiping cards, or scanning your parking pass. You're still in the lot and parked in a spot faster than you were with the previous system.
  6. My usher buddy said there will be citations if you don't pay, with the company in charge going around the lots starting in the third inning and using whatever scanning technology on every plate to see who didn't pay. The first citation is $2 plus the parking fee with the fine increasing with every violation after that.
  7. Scoreboard Parking Parking The Milwaukee Brewers have moved to a License Plate Recognition system for all American Family Field parking lots. Parking attendants will be onsite to direct people to specific spots, however there will no longer be cashiers or scanners. Fans can either pre-purchase advance parking and activate their parking once onsite or purchase parking onsite via a QR code. Payments for parking can be made with Apple Pay, Google Pay or credit card. Home Opener 3:10 pm on Tuesday, April 2nd vs the Twins. Tickets plentiful Tickets Ballpark Pass- Go to every game including Opening Day starting at $39.99 Ballpark Pass Food Third Street Market Hall Annex Working with 3rd Street Market Hall, the Brewers have created a space inspired by the experience of the original location at The Avenue in downtown Milwaukee. The American Family Field area will be called 3rd Street Market Hall Annex and will be located on the right field loge level of the stadium, with four local vendors: Kompali Tacos, Smokin’ Jack’s BBQ, KAWA (Asian fusion) and Anytime Arepa (Venezuelan). In addition to the food offerings, the space has been redesigned and reconfigured as a gathering spot with a gaming area. Brewers Team Store Main team store in left field being expanded (from link above) In addition, the Brewers Team Store in left field at the stadium is being expanded and its sales floor reconfigured to add more selection in all retail categories, including a customization corner, more space for gameday shopping and a streamlined check-out process in a newly added register room.
  8. So bigger than a bar but smaller than the convention center. Why can't they do this at the stadium again? Isn't that where most teams who do this kind of event are holding it?
  9. Phillies fans standing the whole game. When the Brewers loaded the bases in the 5th in game one of the WC my buddy stood up and a guy behind us yelled at him to sit down.
  10. I said it in the game thread but I've now attended more road team playoff series clinching games here than the Brewers have total playoff series wins in their history. It's just not that fun anymore.
  11. I've now seen more road team playoff series clinchers in person in Milwaukee than the Brewers have playoff series wins in their entire existence
  12. Been since the beginning. Absolute joke of a crowd. 1000s of empty seats. Shockingly low energy. People streaming for the exits after the 8th inning in a one run game like it's a meaningless regular season game. Absolutely embarrassing. I'm completely disgusted.
  13. No explanation from the announcers whatsoever, like it's something that happens all the time.
  14. Looks good. I'd add Club level info to the "Best seats" section. The seats themselves on the Club/300 level are a little wider and padded and generally more comfortable than the other levels which offers a bit of a reprieve if you and your friends are on the bigger side. Plus you can hang out at the Skyy Lounge if it's too hot/boring/whatever and there's elevated food options too. And you can snag decent seats on the secondary market for weekday games in the 35ish dollar range.
  15. As far as basketball games go my buddy's an usher at Fiserv. He said for Bucks games they tried to do a stop in play thing like hockey where you couldn’t walk to your seat during game action and it lasted the first half of the first game before it was abandoned. Most ushers weren't assertive enough to enforce it which resulted in the ones who were stopping. He also said they tried it and it worked for most of the Marquette games that season because their fans actually watch the game and don't move around as much.
  16. Got an email offering $9 terrace seats for Opening Day. Has the home opener novelty dropped off a cliff?
  17. It was kind of addressed here
  18. Thanks for the recommendation. I watched the first 3 episodes yesterday. Very entertaining.
  19. The sheer stupidity (& selfishness) of the parents literally boggled my mind numerous times & just when you think they couldn't possibly be any dumber they go & do something even more idiotic. (spoiler alert)
