Don’t see the point in this pitching change. Myers throwing well why not just let him go? In Murphy we trust I guess.

Very nice outing by Quintana, pitching into the 7th is huge to help the bullpen recover from the usage the last 2 days.

The first pitch outs are brutal. That first pitch double play probably gets Abbot another inning.

So far so good from Quintana. Starting to gain hope that we might be able to get through today with just Quintana and Anderson. If we have Myers available tomorrow as a long man out of the pen that would be a huge boost towards handling the double header.

Really could use a deep start from Quintana. I’m guessing it’s him, Anderson, and Myers to cover today’s game. Pretty much everyone else needs a day off heading into tomorrow’s double header. Tomorrow will be the day that not having Hall’s length could hurt.

RBI probability 18% Apple TV needs to read up on the legend of Vaughn and adjust their statistics accordingly. RBI probability 100%!!!!!!!!

Hall has been pretty solid other than tonight, but I doubt he planned on being in during the second inning. Miz also fell apart pretty quickly in that inning, Hall probably didn’t have a ton of time to get loose. Not sure what Ashby has done to remove himself from that conversation.

The amount of pen arms we need to use is going to linger.

Feel like we need at least 3 wins on the 8 game trip between Cincy and Chicago. Kind of a dangerous road trip, but if we get through it that’s a huge step.

Crazy to have a Skenes start and we can seriously contemplate if we’re up enough to just have a position player pitch the 9th!

I wouldn’t mind this being Freddy’s last inning. Keep him fresh for the stretch run, and trust the pen to hold up vs the Pirates.

Almost 20 pitches per inning though, don’t think he’ll make it very deep. Just be patient, take some pitches, and get to their pen!

How has Miller only saved 10 out of 15 opportunities when his numbers are very good?

When things are going your way, they go your way. That’s crazy, Quintana drops it and it bounces off the runners heel right to Vaughn.

Yea would love to see them vs the Phils or Dodgers in a short series! MLB playoffs so matchup dependent. Never know if a team like the Reds has to fight right down to the wire they may not be able to line up their pitching for the first series.
