Jeffress injury, Knebel injury, mistake of letting a cheap Miley go; moving Peralta, Burnes, and Woodruff to the starting rotation means a disaster in the bullpen is left. Those three young arms in the starting rotation don't have reliable/diverse enough stuff to go deep in games at all. They're too predictable after being seeing once/twice in a game ... long season awaits unless a big shakeup happens with this team's pitching I am afraid.

Albers, Claudio, Petricka ... blah!!!!! Attanasio and Stearns gotta' give Counsell better than this ... otherwise, kiss the division title goodbye!

The only guy in the Cubs lineup with a poor batting average is Khris Bryant. Hopefully, we can get off the "schneid" against Quintana.

Don’t think that’s an automatic move. They would just bring in a righty to face Braun and then Braun plays 4 innings on his day off. I thought it was too early for that move. Maybe in the 8th or 9th. The TV announcers said that nobody was warming up in the bullpen at the time, though.

I thought Arcia really bailed out Counsell there because pinch-hitting for Gamel there with Braun against the lefty Zach Duke seemed like an automatic move to make that he did not make.

This! I hope the crowd stays and cheers on the Brewers until an hour after the game. These guys deserve it, whatever happens! Yes, indeed!

Terrible plate discipline by Braun and Aguilar to be sure, swinging at pitches well out of the strike zone. It may take awhile to adjust to the pitcher, though.
