That would be the ultimate managerial troll job. I doubt he pulls it two games in a row, but it would be fun if he did, just to hear Joe Buck's disgusted response. In reality, Smoltz seems to the one exasperated by this and Buck just seems to chuckle at this exasperation.

Is Ron coaching first base for fun in these last few meaningless games?

anybody think davey kinda looks like this cat? http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/christmasspecials/images/c/c0/SamSnowman.jpg

Do we expect TT back at all this year? If the club didn't trade for a pen arm, my assumption was TT and Hendo would be back for the stretch...

Don't forget about the gold cap fronts. I think I would really like them without that gold stripe under the pits.

Anybody else catching Block's subtle Canadian jabs the past couple of days?

It is interesting that many wait for the 'shoe to drop.' I was quite young when the shoe didn't drop and then I yearned for the ability to have a 'shoe to drop' from time to time for many years with no shoe in hand. Now, they really haven't let a 'shoe drop' so I wonder what shoe many are waiting for one to 'drop.?'

Love the analogy, even though I'm not sure I get it...

A bit off topic, but did anybody else here the half inning with Seth Meyers on Friday night? It seemed like they could have handled it a bit better and I also wonder if Meyers was hoping to meet Ueck. It really didn't seem like he was pimping anything and I don't think his show needs a half inning on the Crew Network. But I do agree with some that Block sounds much more relaxed and more "animated" with DH.
